Chapter 1 - Sudden Staff Meeting

It’s been a few months since I defeated Chancellor Carina and made her into my woman.

At first glance, the school seems to be moving forward peacefully.

But in reality, the real ruler of the school has been switched little by little – without anyone even noticing.

At first, it was Julia, the headmistress, who is in charge of all the teachers.

Then Inez, the student council president, who organizes all the students.

Finally, the chancellor, Carina, who stands above them all as their founder. After putting her under my control, my position has become solid.

I can cover up any little trouble, and I can also create a lot of smoke even when there is no fire.

“Well, I mainly use it to deal with women though.”

I muttered to myself as I sat down in my usual chair in the headmaster’s office.

The only time I use that power in the school is when I’m out there ‘treasure hunting.’

Everything else is going on as usual.

I may have the power, but I don’t interfere with the management of the school.

In the first place, I just need a place where I can act freely and fuck any beautiful woman as I want.

This school is the perfect spot for that.

“Though recently, I’m getting into this teacher work too. It’s also very pleasant to raise excellent students on your own.”

Some of the students are aiming to become court wizards like me.

Though most of them are not as talented as I am, some of them have the certainty to become one if they apply in the future.

Besides, it’s also convenient to have the trust of your students when fishing for women.

While I was thinking about this, the door of the room was suddenly opened.

There is only one person who walks in here without knocking.

“Yo, Julia. Did you finish your work?”

Julia, the owner of this room, was right in front of me.

“Yes, for today, that is. Theo, are you sure your students are okay?”

She walked around her desk which I was leaning and propped her elbows on the back of the seat I was sitting on.

“My classes today are only in the morning. All I need is a little homeroom with the class before the end of the day.”

“Then we’ll have a staff meeting after that.”

I furrowed my brows.

There was no big event at this time of year, and the staff had just had their regular meeting the other day.

“What happened at the staff meeting?”

I couldn’t quite figure it out, so I asked her a straightforward question.

She looked at me in response and handed me a piece of paper, where I took and looked it over with some hesitation.

“……Training camp classes on the premise of using large-scale magic spells.”

That’s what it said on the form.

But it didn’t say anything about the details.

“The explanation will be given at the staff meeting. So be sure to attend, okay?”

Julia took the liberty of kissing me on the cheek before leaving.

“Massive Ordnance magic spells, I haven’t used them in a while.”

I mumbled as I wiped the lipstick off my face and headed to class.

After returning the students to their dormitories, I headed to the staff room.

The meeting was just about to begin.

I took a seat beside the teachers sitting in a row at the end and turned my attention to Julia, who was standing in front of us and somehow looking at my direction.

She must have noticed my presence because she smiled right away once I looked at her.

I returned that with another smile and took out the related handouts, and looked through them.

“Did everyone get their own copies? Let’s get started then.”

Julia started, flipping through the handouts herself as she begins to speak.

“The reason we’re here is to discuss this year’s training camp exercises.”

When she said that, the teachers were buzzing.

“Every year, we have a camp where you can learn more advanced magic in addition to your regular classes.”

Oh, so it’s like an extracurricular activity.

“The number of applicants is usually small because we only ask for applicants with a certain level of performance, so a meeting like this is not that needed, but this time the candidates are more than our usual number.”

According to the data, there were about ten students that usually get these bonuses, but this time there were almost thirty, which was enough for one class.

“We usually have one teacher assigned to them, but this time we’ll be having two.”

Julia said as she flipped through her handouts one more time.

I did the same, but my eyes opened wide when I saw the names on the page.

“The teachers chosen to be their chaperones are Mr. Theophil Krause and Miss Liselotte Canaris, for that matter.”

The next moment, mine and Liesl’s names were read out.

“Since we’re going to be going a little farther this time, we’ve chosen two of the most skilled people, as they will also serve as guards for our students. Any objections? ......None? Then I'll proceed.”

Of course, there would be no complaints.

I’m a former court wizard, the pinnacle of magic users, and though Liesl has only above average magic skills to be a teacher at the school, she was also trained to use a sword, being from a family of knights.

If you simply look at the combat levels, no teacher pair in the school can surpass us.

“Since they’ll be leaving the safe walls of the academy, albeit for a little while, we need to make sure that the parents feel safe.”

The parents of the students at this school are all rich and powerful, and my background will be useful in convincing them to allow the students to be out of the well-secured school and into the camp far away.

There’s no other safe options for the school than to choose a former court wizard as their bodyguard-cum-teacher.

“Mister Krause, Miss Canaris, can you do it?”

Julia said, looking at us.

“Yes, of course. I’ll come back without a scratch on my students.”

“I will also cooperate with Mr. Krause. Rest assured.”

We both said that back.

This is how we do it outwardly to keep people from knowing about our relationship, but it still feels strange.

But I tried not to let it show as I take my seat again.

“I’ll hand out a list of applicants for you two. Aside from the list, you may also take one person extra as your assistant. Let me know if you have any problems.”

We nodded again at Julia’s words.

When she sees this and looks satisfied, she turns to the rest of the faculty.

“There will be some changes in class assignments while the two of them are gone, but I’m counting on the rest of you to fill the gaps for them.”

The teachers voiced their approval, and the meeting was adjourned.

All those involved in the meeting left their seats one after another, and I followed them out of the room.

While at it, Liesl approached me.

“Theophil, I was suddenly chosen. What should I do?”

She asked me in a low voice so as not to be overheard by the others.

“I’m going to the headmistress’s office for now. Follow me.”

I didn’t answer right then and there but walked down the hallway with Liesl.

After heading straight to the office, I made Liesl sit down and opened the document in my hand.

An outline of the camp was written on it, showing its overall schedule and where the camp would be held.

“Hmm, the ruins of a battlefield about a week away from here?”

“It’s true that the land there is uninhabited, and no one would blame you for using destructive magic spells.”

Liesl nodded her head in agreement.

It was the site of a war with a neighboring country about a hundred years ago, and it has been completely destroyed by the fierce fighting of that time.

Of course, no people lived there ever since, so it didn’t matter if any magic spell you cast was a little off target.

“I know the place well. But the students, on the other hand……”

I flipped to the next page and checked the members.

“......they are all students who have excellent performances and are particularly comfortable in participating in these types of exercises.”

“From first year to third year, we’ve got all the best students.”

Among the members were Annica and Amelia.

Well, these two are among my most talented women when it comes to offensive spells.

I may have acted as I please on several students, but I haven’t interfered in their daily lives.

I’m sure they truly wished to improve their magical skills on their own this time as well.

“Basically, this is all fine, but there is one more person I want to take with me.”

“Who’s that?”

I then replied to Liesl’s curious expression.

“It’s not enough to be a fighter to ensure your safety. We need someone to fill our other needs.”

As I said this, I thought of one of my students.

She doesn’t get out much either, so this would be a good opportunity for her to interact with people.

No matter how well she’s taken care of, I’m still worried about her future if she kept on staying in an environment that was completely boxed in.

“I’ll talk to Julia about this, but I think we’ll be fine. We’ll stick to the basic plan.”

Liesl nodded at my words, and thus the preparations for the training camp had begun.
