September 2021 Status Update (Patreon)

Hey there, Oxdarock here!

Thanks everyone for another month of your support! Even though I didn’t really do much in terms of exclusive works for August, I did manage to get some drawing done. That said, I will be taking August to catch up on the Patron Picks I missed last month.

Next, I thought I’d give people a heads up on how commissions are progressing, since pretty much all of them are from patrons. The answer is… slowly. I 100% expected this to happen, but between Patron Picks and drawings I need to do to keep my head on straight, commissions definitely take a low priority, especially since I don’t accept payment upfront. I’d like to do more, but frankly, the best I can hope for is to maybe finish one commission picture a month. As for those who are waiting on a commission from me, I’m the type of person who finishes most things in one go, so if I haven’t contacted you with a finished sketch, then know that I haven’t even touched it.

And finally, after conducting a poll in regards to how I’ll approach Patron Picks from here on, it seems that many of you really do care about my well being, in that most would rather I keep experimenting until I find something that works for me. Honestly, I’m touched. Think I’m just the type of person who has no qualms giving goodwill to others, but have a hard time receiving it, which is ironic given Patreon is largely about just that. What’s funny is that I’m more concerned about participation in these polls rather than losing patrons. Anyway, I know they won’t be the same as getting a free request or two from me every month, but I still hope you all still enjoy how I conduct Patron Picks and the content that comes out of it.

Anyway, I’ll be starting up this month’s Patron Pick poll in about an hour or so. It’s pretty straightforward, but I will have to do a small bit of explaining, so please bear with me.
