Hey there, Oxdarock here!

I'm gonna go over the highlights of the changes to Patreon that I've recently made. If you've already been around the block for a while, then keep reading. For those that are new, you'll probably want to read the guide pages, starting with Content Posting. One thing to make note of is that I've removed all the commission discount rewards. I might do something special at some point in the far future, but I wanted to remove them as a promised deal. Anyway, let's start by posting links to the main charts to keep track of!

To see these links at any time, be sure to visit the Link Guide Page!

Going down the line first we have the Stack list. This is pretty much a point system for patrons to use for BEnchmark Rewards at their leisure. Every 10 posts that a patron is successfully charged for, they earn stacks. The number you earn every BEnchmark is dependent on your tier level:

  • Big tier: 1 stack
  • Grand tier: 2 stacks
  • Huge tier: 3 stacks
  • Giant tier: 5 stacks

As you can see, higher tiers get a lot more Stacked, really quickly. (Ha!) Stack can be saved up over time and only 10 stacks can be used per Reward column at once. The length at which they remain active depends on the reward. In order:

  • Increased voting: lasts until the end of the month. If no voting polls are held after using a stack, it carries over to the next month.
  • Increased suggestions: lasts until the suggested characters win a voting poll either alone or in a group.
  • Extra Characters: lasts until the suggested characters are drawn
  • Special Mention: lasts until I release a new item on my online store (Giant tier patrons naturally receive this)
  • Free Issues: lasts until I release a new item on my online store. Stays valid even if patron decides to leave my Patreon, however you'll need to leave your contact info so that I can send a free copy. This is no longer a tier reward for certain reasons, however patrons will still receive a free copy after being charged a certain amount prior to release.

To start things off, I've tallied up the lifetime support values of all my current patrons and have given them stacks according to how many BEnchmarks they'd have reached up until this point. Don't be surprised if the results for some of the next voting polls end up being complete shut outs from only a few people. You can use a stack whenever you want, in which case I'll update the list. Whether you want to use it as early in the month as possible or for a specific poll you have in mind, the choice is yours.

On a side note, I've finally figured out what to set as milestone goals, all of which revolve around BEnchmark Rewards. Should be fun times if I get that far.

Next, I want to list some changes to the character suggestions for voting polls. To start, I've reorganized the chart to better show what I mean when I say you can combine characters into one suggestion. As for who suggested who, that's something I keep track of in a separate document.

Some people might have noticed this based on the past few polls, but I'll only be selecting 12 suggestions at a time per voting poll. I'll decide the 12 via WheelDecide. Another change that I've added is that you can now make the same suggestion multiple times. Doing so gives a specific suggestion more slots on the wheel. The suggestions you can add to are dependent on the number of characters you suggest (for example you'll need to be able to suggest two characters to add to a choice that has two characters, etc). Please be aware that if a specific character wins a voting poll, that character still won't be able to enter the next poll no matter how many people suggest them. However, this does not include suggestions with multiple characters. Lastly, it's highly possible that I'll hold multiple voting polls at once using suggestions not chosen for a currently running poll. What more, if several people suggest the same character and it's picked for one poll, it won't be picked for another poll running at the same time.

Finally, we come to the Extra Characters Sheet. If I'm perfectly honest, original characters have a low chance of winning the voting poll, so this is something of an alternative. Basically, I'll be using characters listed in this sheet as extras in my works. The way I'll be deciding which characters to use will be at my own discretion, but at the very least I want to use a character from every patron at least once. Will I make it to every suggestion? Maybe, maybe not. Will suggesting a character multiple times influence my decision? No. What's more the level of detail of a character used in a picture will also vary. Some they'll be in the far background, other times they'll be almost as relevant as those in the foreground. This is both a way to do something extra for my patrons as well as helping me figure out what to draw in the background. Furthermore, by suggesting an OC to this list, you acknowledge that I have the rights to sell content the character is featured in on any of my current or future storefronts. That said, you're also free to suggest characters from existing series in this column as well.

Ok! I think that's everything! For now anyway. There are a couple of more things that I'll be doing in the background that I can't officially add to my Patreon because of how ambiguous they are, but these are the important bits to remember. Hopefully things work out well with these changes and that people approve of them.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment or send me a private message. Also, be sure to leave a character suggestion if haven't already and would like to do so! And if you want to use a BEnch Stack, be sure to let me know as well!

That's all for now!
