Honestly, I feel Niki on this. Like if I was in Niki’s shoes where every single time I was chosen to have some sort of leading position for the group and we failed all of those times, I would also not really want to have that sort of role again since I would be terrified that something bad might happen again, so I completely understand his feelings.

the part where you said ni-ki is so serious really hit me cause now with enhypen content, he is the biggest prankster, alwasy chaotic and smiling and it just goes to show like how much these boys were going through to not be able to like be free and themselves

BESTIE your Slytherin ass is showing and I’m living for it! Also Niki was 14 during this show so I commend him for taking on as much pressure as he did leading in ANOTHER LANGUAGE. I feel like people who criticized him are dumb and forgot that. Also EDITING is mostly to blame for it seeming like he was being selfish. My ass at 14 would have been immediately cancelled because I was not nice when delivering my opinions at that age! I think they ended the episode like that because this was the final week for voting and they wanted to make it as dramatic as possible to make people vote. I think voting was only open for one more day after the next episode. Also as a heads up, you’ll see on Viki that there’s two episode 6s. The longer one ~1.5hrs is a giant filler episode that has hosts that go over the show so far like a recap for someone who skipped the first half of the show. There’s no new footage so please skip it, it’s boring as hell! They needed an extra week to get ahead with filming because they couldn’t eliminate and form the final 12 until all the voting was over. The boys had a solid gap month between filming.

I think they ended the episode like that just to mess with our emotions since we all kinda knew that seon was going to be eliminated be producers choice. He was the only who was never actually praised for skills and I truly feel only made it that far staying in iland because he was loved by everyone and had a leadership role. That being said, watching this show the first time around, it was so infuriating. Especially since the next episode they released was a recap episode. I also 100% see where niki is coming from not wanting to be the leader at first but I definitely feel that that type of choreography needed a leader to guide since it was so precise. Like you mentioned, it is for sure the type of choreo if someone messes up or is off, it would throw everyone off. Unfortunately for niki, there was no one else on the ground who had any type of leadership skills.

I think that Niki doesn't nessesarily have to lead all the grounders but I do think he should at least help with the parts where they dance tgth. But actually anyone can be on this role, like leaders doesn't have to be best in skill, they just have to be willing and able to lead, so i didn't know why the grounders only expect Niki to help them. However the ilanders doesn't seem to have a leader as well but they're willing to help each other out. Or at least encourage each other. So thats a way if you don't want a leader in the team.
