like you i'm shock that Asahi did not make it! Actually Asahi was eliminated already. YG just called him when he was in Japan already. And he was shock that YG called him to debut with magnum.

Asahi was eliminated of the show but randomly got to debut, like some other members. I'm glad yg redeemed itself cause that boy is a gem

So originally the final line up was just 7 members for treasure (I don't know if you would like to know who made it when you finished this so as of know I'm not saying who made it), after ygtb ended there were some trainees that fans wanted also for them to debut so yg created another line up, and that included some of the trainees that were eliminated as well

TREASURE was supposed to debut with only 7 members, but YG decided to debut another line up of 6 members that would be called Magnum wherein Asahi was included (yep he was invited back). Together they'll be called Treasure 13 but after Yoonbin left, YG decided to debut the two groups as one only and that's our TREASURE now :)

Not gonna lie I was waiting for your reaction to Asahi getting eliminated and your shook face did NOT disappoint 😂 It’s actually fun seeing how people who became Treasure fans way after Treasure Box go back and watch and be super confused! Also Junghwan was only 13 international age during Treasure Box. He was doing WAY too much during that performance! I avert my eyes whenever I rewatch that part. Like the camera zoom to their body rolls? WHY? Who at YG approved them doing that song? Even though most of the lyrics are pretty tame, still it’s like you can read between the lines because of the track, how Taeyang sings it and the choreo. I do NOT need a CHILD to perform that song!

Junghwan was only 13 when he made it the original Treasure 7 lineup. During ygtb, I just noticed him cuz he was cute and handsome with potential but I wasn't expecting him to get selected. Then during debut era, he became my bias out of nowhere idk why. I particularly like how he's such a precious baby and yet despite his young age, his vibe already gives off sincerity, integrity and good character. Not to mention his stage presence, strength and underrated vocal tone. Also low key funny how he's naturally kinda dopey sometimes tbh đŸ€Ł.

There were people who were trainees from the beginning and its clear YHS has a soft spot for Yedam and Danny - especially since they were with him from the beginning and Yedam training for 6-7 years. He has a bias towards Danny - who was part of the debut group that got cancelled from MixNine and after that fell through; I do not think realistically he could not add Danny to the group that was chosen - it was the entire Maknae Line with basically no experience but Yedam/Junkyu /Doyoung (Jaehyuk, Haruto, Jeongwoo, Junghwan) none prepared to be a leader nor all rounder. He already had an image for the group (Under 17 - Youth/Boyish) For that age bracket - it was between the rappers (Danny, ByongGon, Keita, Yoshi, Yoonbin) Who from this group fits with the young 16/17 image, can be a leader - all rounder and also rap???????

You know its all meant to be - because if BX and SH never left (Magnum line up realistically will not have included Asahi and Yoshi - It would have been Yoonbin/BX the two rappers and Vocals would have been SH/Mashiho and JIHOON.and this was a year where YGE had the most talented group of trainees.

Hahaha you were talking over the part where Hyunsuk picked DoHwan for the last member of his team. That’s why Hyunsuk said that he couldn’t look to the front cuz Junghwan and the other 5 trainees he didn’t pick was literally just staring a hole at him. He knew that they’ll be slighted or disappointed especially Junghwan. He felt he was going to get pick on either team, but he wasn’t. So “technically” the 5 YG trainees left over makes a group which is Junghwan, Jaehyuk, Seokhwa, Junseo, and Jongseob. That’s why Junghwan was like is it possible to win 1st place with his team? Which is sad to me because the power that teams hold hasn’t even been touched yet. If only they felt confident in themselves and not cared about votes. So yes the next episode is basically the semi-finals. Remember the top team who wins in votes gets to automatically go to the finals. While the other 3 teams have to go through eliminations. So the amount of trainees is going to be small.

Chrissy, will you be willing to explore another heartache that is MixNine? The stages there are fantastic and aside from BX, Hyunsuk and Junkyu, a lot of members fr other boygroups like Ateez, ONF, OneUs, and Ace were there to name a few. First 4 episodes might be a drag because of the audition process but seeing Hyunsuk there might interest you. Also sad the debut didnt happen but then again we might not have this Treasure line up if it did. 🙂
