James: This chapter ended up taking longer than I expected both because of the medical emergency we had in the family last week and because chapter 5 of Transcendent turned into a 25 page BEAST! Over 12,000 words!

Mistress Cereza: I recall chapters 3 and 4 were quite long too, weren't they?

James: Yes. The middle chapters of this series had to be pretty meaty to get in all the developments I wanted. I considered extending it, but in the end I think I like a six chapter structure for this one best.
