James: No kidding. I wasn't planning it to be 24 pages. Ended up being 11,400 words. My fault for trying to cram so many ideas into so few chapters.

Mistress Cereza: That's why it took a little longer than you anticipated?

James: That and because my notes for Transcendent weren't nearly as good as I thought. Because I only planned it to be six chapters, and the idea was fully formed in my mind, I decided I didn't need as many notes, but that was foolish. After not writing a chapter for six months, I had to go back and re-read the early chapters to catch myself up and recall certain important details.

Mistress Cereza: At least you learned something.

James: Yes. Unless it's a one-shot, ALWAYS take thorough notes.
