Bayonetta's Abuse Cleanup (Chapters 1 - 9) (Patreon)

James: Well, that took way longer than I thought it would.

Mistress Cereza: At least it's done. What was the worst mistake you found?

James: In different chapters, I'd refer to Bayonetta having different eye colors. I wasn't good about taking character notes in the early days of my writing.

Mistress Cereza: She has gray eyes, officially, but I always thought they looked light blue.

James: Right? That's why I went with blue eyes for the series. Not that it matters. You can do what you want in fan fiction.

Mistress Cereza: Any other interesting tidbits to report?

James: About this project? Chapters 1-8 were written from 2011-2013 when I was just getting started as a hobbyist writer, so some of them needed some real work. By my standards today, Chapters 6-8 weren't too bad. They still took a while to edit and improve readability, but they weren't atrocious (probably because I'd had some practice by that point.)

Chapters 1-5? YIKES! I was not a great (technical) writer back then. And I was allergic to contractions for some reason. I'd almost always type out the full "she had" or "he had" instead of using "she'd" and "he'd." That's just one example. Very cringe. Terrible for readability. Glad I took the opportunity to fix them up.
