James: Update time and it's going to be a fun one! We get to talk about everyone's favorite topic: TAXES!

Mistress Cereza: Joy!

James: You probably got an email from Patreon stating that if you live in a state that collects taxes on internet purchases, they're going to start collecting sales taxes on your pledges. The good news is only certain benefits are taxable and I'm going to fill out the requisite digital forms to ensure that your tax is as low as possible. For example...

Mistress Cereza: You're not going to do math, are you? Don't do math here. This community is about the glory of Femdom and delicious smut. Math is the exact opposite of those things.

James: If a patreon tier has 5 benefits but only 2 of them are taxable, that means only 40% of your pledge is taxable. So if you have a $5 pledge and your state's sales tax is 5%, your normal tax would be 25 cents. After I fill out the digital paperwork, it will only be 10 cents.

Mistress Cereza: *writhes on the ground, flailing herself with a crop to distract from the maths*

James: Who's being silly now, hmmm?

Mistress Cereza: Are you done yet?

James: Yes. I just wanted to explain how I'm going to minimize the impact of this change for everyone. It's the least I can do for our awesome patrons.
