What Put The Kink In The Kinkster? (Patreon)

I've always been fascinated by kink psychology. In particular the question: What is it that creates a Femdom kinkster? How is a latex or leather fetishist born? How much is nature and how much is nurture?

This is a difficult topic to study. Especially in a society which, decades after the sexual revolution, remains puritanical, ashamed and reluctant to discuss its kinks and taboos. Humanity has never had more access to kink and yet, we remain fairly tight lipped about it. We have more growing to do, sexually and mentally.

Did you watch Aeon Flux on MTV's Liquid Television in the 90's? I did. So did James. (Uh oh! I'm dating us!) He credits Aeon Flux as one of his "early Femdom influences." There's a bit of nurture for you (most likely.) With very few exceptions, Aeon Flux was always a woman in full control, dominating her opponents and garbed in fetish attire.

But did seeing the taboos that Aeon Flux put front and center influence our development? Or were we already keyed to be enthralled by her because something in our biology saw the seductive, leather-clad, female assassin and said "YES! MORE!!!"

My inclinations weren't clear until a little later in life. About when I got to college. But James has reported that as early as 7 years old, he had no interest in chasing girls but he LOVED IT when girls chased him. It's probably a little of column A and column B, but there's no way to be sure without studying it all in detail. Sadly, our society places little importance on investigating these things and we're left with the very occasional paper on sexual psychology / kink and our own observations and ponderings.
