Happy Black Breastfeeding Week! On tonight's episode Good Moms are joined by Midwife, Racha Tahini Lawler CPM, CM, LM. Racha discusses her experiences 17 years journeyt navigating the midwifery world as black woman, the racism she has seen first hand bestowed upon pregnant WOC in hospitals, and the history of the wet nurse in slavery. Good Moms and Racha also discuss cellular and sexual trauma and how it can influence a woman's fear or distaste in breastfeeding. Racha also talks how our community plays it's part in the lack of support for breastfeeding and the many reasons why.

This episode was super informative, emotional (Erica might have cried), and we are so grateful to have such a knowledgable midwife on to discuss as widely undiscussed topic.
