Okay the real reason is also because Drew is working there. We haven't heard much from Drew in almost a year-- because plots that don't involve him have taken up our time. But he's still around and I wanted him to feel more at home in his new body... so he's finally cut "his" hair.

I also decided I wanted him to wear glasses. In life, before he was a ghost, Drew would have worn contacts-- the guy who inspired Drew did. And who is to say Sam, the former inhabitant of this body, shouldn't have had corrected vision... he was a bum.

They're little changes that will make Drew and Sam feel more different when they're shown together and lets Drew become a fuller character on his own too.

 Plus, Drew's probably not too broken up about George's life being a little difficult. George did eat him...
