By the way, I really enjoyed Tallheart flexing in front of Bluewash this chapter. Him pulling the fish monster through the hole and ripping it's brain out, followed by taking control of the entire ship with Soul of Metal, is sufficiently badass.

Elaborate

My idea to fix this situation: Aura Anchors. Put in an iron cage, or if in a hurry a weighed-down sack: *a Purify Anchor, *a Refrigerate Anchor *an Immolate Anchor. *optionally a Detection Anchor. Have Tallheart or somebody yeet it away. Assuming the Anchors don't break from each-other's auras: Wait until the cage has sunk a few hundred meters, and the whale is past it, then start blasting Purify through the Anchor to draw attention. Hopefully the emission from the Anchor will be way more noticeable than that of Rain, since he is in a metal armour in a metal room in a metal boat in a stealth field. After a few minutes, stop blasting Purify, start Refrigerate. Now the cage is in an iceball heading to the surface at serious speed, bloodying monsters on the way up. (ChatGPT guesses 20 m/s, counting drag, in which case it will fly 200 meters up in the air.) While in the air, blast a few pulses of Purify, to attract even more attention. Stop Refrigerate, start Immolate, at 1m radius for 10 secs or so. The Cage melts free from the ice ball, sinks downwards. Optionally, use inverted Detection to make monsters ignore Aura Anchors. Wait a few minutes, start over again with Purify. You now have a very distracting yo-yo - until it gets eaten by a whale.
