Regarding modecais paintings, the one on the left appears to be an abstract painting of CJ floating away (possibly representing CJ slipping away from him) and on the right is clearly supposed to be margeret looking in different directions. (possibly representing their lives were headed in different directions) In hindsight I believe the idea is that mordecai was able to use art to reflect and express his feelings. Which may be what allowed him to mature enough to the point where he could have a successful relationship with the bat woman. He wasnt ready for a relationship while he lived at the park, it took him a while to get there. And muscleman lived in a trailer, he was doomed to have 6+ kids with his overweight wife lol. And im sure a few of those loose ends are due to the fact the show being cancelled earlier than expected, but almost all of the characters were thoroughly explored. I dont think they needed go into their individual stories further. (except hi fives ghost maybe)
