left figure is the saphy g8f character, right figure is the new saphy g9 character

transferring morphs is very doable!!!
here is how: Converting Genesis 8 Character Shapes to Genesis 9

here i did a couple of extra steps by using 3ds max and get a bit cleaner results, but the basic idea is the same

next trying to transfer maps from g8 to g9. i think i know how to do it, just have to try it out

Some added notes that seemed to help (I Think): Figures that have full body morph and which do not rely on other morph kits work best. I could be doing something wrong here, but characters that use G8 head/body morph kits don't seem to transfer. On the Gen9 figure - I seem to get better results when I dial in the Female/Male details/sliders and also dial in the G8 clone shape found in the hidden parameters section. Make sure to adjust the character's rigging to shape. Not sure if ERC freeze is also supposed to be used I did it for the body parameter/dial but when I do it for the head DS crashes. I have not tried saving the converted morphs/sliders as of yet.

im not sure why it doesnt work for you, i have it all working. i can transfer full body morphs, partial morph, and mixed morphs without a problem. the only thing you have to watch out for, is when using the clone slider, and then importing the morph back with reverse deformation, it will detract the clone as well, so you end up with a morph that looks off. not sure how to solve that, inside daz, if you use any external 3d program, you wont have that problem since you can morph directly from the base to your morph without using the reverse deformation, and bypassing the clone detraction as long as you dont move any joints on the mesh itself by increase or decrease lengths on anything, like arms, legs, finger or whatever, you do not have to use the rigging to shape feature. but if you do, then rigging to shape is a must, and you do have to correct the ERC freeze as well, to make things work in sync again

I'll have to take another look at it. I very likely missed something.
