this is why its not a good idea to use any hard surface trims on clothing. now what lilflame did here is really impressive, the deformation is actually really minimal cause she applied a lot of correction morphs on the clothing set, which are really hard to set up. but sadly its still there. this is just a limitation of daz.

i think for soft cloth you can get away with these deformations, but, and especially for rings, you cant. rings need to be round, and if they are not round the whole thing will start look messy.

now the previous dress has 3 rings, which are the center of the whole outfit. thats where your eyes are drawn to, so those rings need to be perfect, and if they arent, its going to look bad

it's very interesting and surely i did not notice, I wonder if overtime creators find alternative ways to have a solution for this kind of 3d object. It is true tthat a metal ring should not deform when wore but sometimes the alteration is minimal and won't be noticed in a full scale render not zoomed in. You could also take a look at a new assett called Street Intruder G8F which features rings, but from the preview photos it looks like it may have the same problem. Maybe you'll come up with the perfect solution to have rings that don't deform when wore in daz :) you have great skills and I love your creations!!

well, im really nitpicking here, and what the creator did here is so impressive. what really helps too is that the rings are relatively small, and as you can see in my next post, the outfit came out great. you really cant see any deformations going on what we actually need in daz3d is an option to exclude certain parts from an outfit when morphing. we can do that inside any other 3d program like 3ds max, maya or blender but daz just doesnt have that option thank you so much for the kind words, and ill take a look at the Street Intruder

and yet another one with rings just appeared on the daz store: X Fashion Club Harness Set 02 for Genesis 8 and 8.1 Females , this one seems to not be distorting the rings, at least in the promo pictures, but you will check i guess!

looks really nice, but.. there is always a but, right?!? i think whats going to annoy me on this outfit, is that vertical strap that goes form the hip area to the upper leg. if you going to bend the leg, that strap is going to look real bad. havent tried it yet, and i definitely will get this outfit, cause the top looks amazing. and i really do wanna see how those rings will behave. especially since its a daz original. but i can tell you already, that strap, is going to be a problem did you see the v9 already? and if so, what you think?
