“Hey you! Stop! You can’t just… hey!” the security guard called angrily from the customs post behind me.

“I can’t… what?” I asked casually.

“Your passport doesn’t check out! Stop or I’ll-” he shouted, then tripped on his tied shoelaces.

He hit the ground hard, and I couldn’t help but laugh at the tough and gun toting guard hitting the ground face first. I leaned forward a little bit with my hands clasped innocently behind me, trying to get a better look. Yup, that was a broken nose. A shout brought my eyes back up.

“There! Get her!” a troupe of guards shouted, rushing me with tasers.

The crowd around us watched in bewildered apprehension as a bunch of burly men charged at the innocent looking teenager that they saw standing cheekily on the other side of the customs checkpoint. I was obviously not showing my true face here, but rather a guise I’d made up on my own with my illusions. The passport I’d handed them was entirely fictional too, and the customs officer had figured that out when his hand slipped through it. I had realised that my powers of creation weren’t quite as… concrete as I thought they were, despite my previous home run with Seraph.

“Get who?” I winked, as I pulled that old standard trick of mine, splitting into a multitude of myself.

The room was suddenly filled with dozens of angry girls running around and trashing the place. I saw one illusion run up to the bemused customs officer and just scream in his face, causing him to jump backwards and trip over his tied shoelaces.

One of the guards was aiming wildly around with his taser, trying to figure out which one was real in order to shoot, while another was calling for more backup. A quick teleport later and the wildly aiming guard found my hand giving him a playful push that sent his gun arm sideways. The taser went off, hitting the guard radioing for backup, and before the shooter could react, I spun him like a top. The taser wires tangled around his arm and chest, and he lost his balance, crashing to the floor in a heap.

The rest of the guards started randomly firing at my illusions, and I chose that moment to escape. Now, could I have simply teleported through customs and avoided all the fuss? Yeah I guess I could, but if Vulptrix is coming home to New Zealand… well she’s going to make an entrance!
