Sketchbook || Venhys x Raphael (Patreon)

Felt a bit like a zombie today and, wanting to avoid work, I fell into a shallow youtube rabbit hole that led first to a medieval style cover of Take me to Church and then to Eva Noblezada's cover of the same song. And from there? I needed to relisten to all of Hadestown, and then Patrick Page's parts as Claude Frollo in the stage adaptation of The Hunchback of Notre Dame.  I adore musicals. It turns out they're what I should turn to when I need some enlivening. All this to say that while Patrick Page's voice is definitely a register too low for Raphael, the performance and flair is there, and now I get to chew on hadestown lyrics for more inspiration. 

I've been brainstorming a BG3 AU for Venhys in my free time, and a twisted, toothy affair with Raphael has been consuming me. I have all these little comic snippets scripted. If I'm honest, I probably won't have the time to see them to fruition, but a guy can dream! 

It's been several months since I got to draw something just for me, so I let myself the time tonight after finishing up some things. There were a bunch of old hollywood couples' photos going around on tumblr the other day, so these two get to have a lil smooch. A lil smeech. A lil kissy kiss. The singular vanilla act they're capable of.
