Pull up a seat, kiddo, let's have a chat. I try to be a big proponent of not working on things when they no longer serve you. Sometimes that service is in the form of sparking joy, sometimes it's in offering an opportunity to learn, and sometimes it beefs your portfolio. Sometimes, too, it gets you paid. 

Back in October, I had intentions to do a big page of choking themed drawings with these two. There are times where no matter how much you love the subjects, you'll still drag your feet through the drawing. This page became a long, long stretch of mud I couldn't get myself through. It's been keeping me from working on other things, and it's weighed like some stupid stone of shame for not delivering it sooner.

I want to draw more choking. It's just not going to happen on this page, in this canvas, in the connected context of this piece.

So here's to getting over the hump by saying goodbye to heavy things.
