[v2.9] Meet&Mingle Dating App (RPO, Mod 16) - Sims 4 (Patreon)

Mod 16 of the Relationship & Pregnancy Overhaul collection.

An expansion of the app of the same name from another mod of mine!  For all sorts of matchmaking.

There will be several feature updates likely within the next two months (that's my usual process for new mods).
Everything already available is shown below..

************* FEATURES: ******************

- (Optional) Lets your Sims have visible, readable Online Dating Profiles

- Build your Sims' dating info and profile

- If you want, write custom taglines and paragraphs into your individual Sims' dating profile

- Various date options: blind date, semi-blind date, pick a date, pick a date via various filters (same age, different personality, etc)

- Once in a Meet-Up or date, your Sims can take things wherever they want them to go. At any point, your Sim might decide they simply want this meet-up to be a hook-up. You can also decide to simply be friends. If the other Sim says they're ok with a hook-up, woohoo interactions and other romantic interactions will become available without romance, and poitns won't build up. If the other sim says they're ok with a platonic connection, romance will become also impossible for the duration of the date.

- (OPTIONAL) Relationship goals: serious relationship, anything, just a good time, or friendship

- (OPTIONAL) Turn-ons & turn-offs
[cosmetic only at this moment, more functionality and items to be added in next updates]

+ if you have WW or WonW by Turbodriver, sims' attractiveness preferences from Turbo's mods can show in Meet&Mingle dating profiles. Thanks Turbo for the involvement!


- Be contacted occasionally by other Meet&Mingle Users if you set your Profile as Visible (more of these will be added later)

- Ask other Sims about their goals and personality preferences. (more social interactions to be added later)

-  Define gender preference via the app if you want, instead of having to go to CAS (those ho have my lgbtqia+ mod will not see this as that mod has its own orientation choice menu). 

NOTE: Gender preference is automatically respected in all Meet&Mingle options, except in the two filters that deliberately and explicitly are to browse non-compatible sims.

- Private Messaging system: Open conversations with specific Sims. Chances to get some messages & decision pop-ups.
In the next update, you'll also be able to send messages by type AND send custom 'love letters' that go to the recipient's inventory.
More features for this in development, and More NPC messages upcoming too.

- Have control over what features play out or don't, with a super easy, convenient Settings menu. 

- (Upcoming) go to 'Single's Mingle' events

- And more ;)

******* MOD USE INFO / TIPS *********

- You can access the Meet&Mingle App: 
- from the Sim's phone,
- and from the 'Dating Life' menu if you have Mod 15 of the RPO Collection installed.

- You can modify non-currently-played-Sims' Meet&Mingle profiles etc under 'Actions' if you have RPO debug enabled in settings. Don't start a date from a non-currently-played Sim though!

- If your world lacks Sims, you can Generate more Single Sims to appear on the app: under 'settings' in the phone menu

No known conflicts.
The occurrence of any conflict would be extremely unlikely.

DOWNLOAD:

- grab the REQUIRED 'RPO Core library' here if you don't have it;

- grab the file from this post and put it directly into your mods folder or one subfolder (it's a .package file, so, not extracting!)

silly question but is there an option to end the current date?

You can tell them you just want to be friends under 'current meet and mingle date' or just leave

Well no worries then, the menu of the date will go away after a sim day

Then no worries, the date status will just vanish after a full sim day has passed

hey! when I click on the app it says no current dates available? there arent any sims and the whole thing is greyed out

I play a downloaded save file, and basically all of the lots are populated by "played" families that I don't actually play. Is there a way to automatically make profiles for those single "played" sims without having to go in to each household and do it manually?

Hi, you can just adjust the settings to make them show anyways, look under the meet and mingle settings you'll find it :)

Hello :) i dont know why but i have issues with this one. all the other modules work perfectly but this one doesn't show any writing. even on the phone I see everything white. I tried to update the Italian translation but it doesn't work. I use sims 4 translator and all other translated mods work. can you help me please?

Hi, delete your translation entirely, then see if the text shows. If not, you have an old mod version still hiding somewhere. If yes, then the Italian translation is not up to date

I deleted all the files but when I download from your site again it automatically gives me it translated into Italian. is that translation of EMMESIMS integrated? the problem is this, that translation is out of date.

Yes, the translation might be out of date. I'm not in charge of translations or what translators do :)

I meant, that you'd have leftover files from previous versions still in your folders somewhere, interfering with the new version file :)

If you have v2. 9 you are up to date. But if some text selectively doesn't show,, you have an old file from previous versions in, or an out of date translation. It's the only possible cause. You can verify this by installing only this mod (ie, removing everything in your Mods Folder moving the contents to somewhere else on your computer, and putting only this mod in)

Yeah when I uninstalled every other mod and only and the M&M mod it worked. How do I fix it so it works together with my other mods?

You need to look everywhere in your Mods Folder and find where the old version is hiding, because you have an old version somewhere in there still. Once that is found and deleted, all will work properly

I know you have many amazing features that will be added to this modular. But will we be able to just chat with potential sim partners first before going on dates.

Hi i dont see any of my npc sims in households in this app... only three sims who arent in any neighbourhoods... is this on purpose?

If Sims have ever been played by you, they'll show only if they set their profile to visible or if you change the setting so that even played Sims just show up no matter what. If they have never been played, they'll show if single Of course, only Sims with compatible orientations will show. If you have my lgbtqia mod, that means, Sims with assignments, and assignments that match. If you don't, that just means, that the game orientations are compatible

Hi! For some reason, when I open the pie menu I have all selections except the option to select global settings. I've tried going through mods, but everything seems fully compatible. I also made sure to check for any leftover files from 2.8, but there's none. Any ideas on why this may be happening?

Hi! If you want only meet&mingle settings: ch'lick the 'settings' interaction from the phone menu. If you want all of RPO's global settings: Check under 'actions' instead. If you turn in the first setting in the list, it will also appear in the normal gameplay menu, otherwise, it only appears under 'actions'

hi! i've been trying to use this mod but when i try to load a household it wont let me, it just takes me to the world choices, but when i take it out of my game it and i load my household it lets me, what do i do about that?

Hi, delete your settings file for this mod; if this happened, it failed to update itself for the new settings. Deleting will make a new one pop up and solve it.

Hello! This mod looks amazing. Is there a possibility for sims to have blind chats? I mean when they talk with the same person over and over but don't see their name? Even if their relationship will be visible on the panel, i can just not look there, but i can't not look who i choose manually :) i would LOVE to be able to play a story of a person having online relationship with someone and trying to find out who it is :)
