------ [MEMORY MOD] -----------

I hope you are liking the new mod! A few more memories based on stuff the game itself records should be added to the mod between tomorrow and Thursday, likely!

------- [RPO] BUG SOLVING -----------------------

- [A SOLVED BUG] The old issue of the teen pregnancy module in which the impregnator sim would not be recognized genetically and in the family tree as the parent of the baby has been SOLVED. This fix will be live in a next update soon.

- [AN UNSOLVED BUG - I NEED YOUR INPUT] Back in August, I made a post about how some players were having issues with the 'accepted pregnancy' features - I have NOT been able to reproduce that issue in my own game, not with young adult and older sims and not with teen sims either. So, if you've ever had the issue, I NEED INFO from you to figure out what's up. Namely, what other woohoo / pregnancy / birth mods you use, and more info on what happened and the Sim it happened to.

These players' problem happens during an accepted pregnancy, at the moment when trimester two turns into trimesters three. They report that the baby bump disappears and the sim is no longer considered as being in the right trimester.

------ The [CURSEFORGE] platform -------

I have added the Mood Pack to Curseforge (as well as Open Love Life and LGBTQIA+ as 'tests') at the moment.

I do not plan to add more mods on it until next month, when there mod manager beta comes out.

If that system is a really good one, then I might consider cross uploading more mods on their platform.
It also depends on what YOU want.

Having mods on multiple platforms is more work (having to maintain several descriptions and re-upload files on several services) so it has to be worth it to both the user and the modder. If the user benefit is really huge, as they make it sound like it will be, then it will be worth it.

No matter what, Patreon remains my main platform.

What are your thoughts on all this?

----- [RPO] RESTRUCTURING OF RPO.... ? ----------------

I have decided to reorganize the pie menus for RPO.
This decision stems from a larger decision to reorganize the presentation of the mod.

Why?:

  • This mod has become so big that it is a little complicated and stressful for me to handle as the one-unit giant. Cutting things apart will make it much easier to work on version 3, because it means I can do it piece by piece instead of feeling like I have to do everything at once.
  • Any update of ONE file currently requires users to re-download the ENTIRE mod. This is not ideal.
  • Many don't know what's in the mod because they grab it all in one fell swoop. Many also don't realize they can simply delete the features they don't want.
  • I want it to be clearer that every module can be used independently, and that the core files themselves should do no gameplay.

So, my goal is to keep pushing each part of the mod towards further independence.

The mod will become the 'Relationship & Pregnancy Overhaul Collection': a set of smaller mods (ie, 'modules' and 'add-ons') dependent on a common 'library' (ie, the 'core files').

IN ESSENCE, this is the SAME as what the mod already is. The difference is, it is described / formulated differently.

In practical terms, this changes nearly nothing other than

  • the mod parts will be downloadable primarily module by module instead of all together in one download. Updates will also be module by module, so, easier to manage, since I almost never upload all modules at once, but generally just one or two at a time.
    +
INITIALLY at least, I will also offer an 'all together' download so it's not a hassle for people who do use all parts of the mod! :)
  • each 'module' and 'add-on' will have its own patreon page, to unclog things as the RPO page currently is a horrid all of text. Each will list its own known issues, compatibility requirements, etc etc.
  • There will still be a master post for the 'RPO Collection' with a quick summary of and links to each module.

INSIDE the game, there will be very few visible changes. Here they are:

  • We will now have one big pie menu, with sub-menus for specific thematic functions. This is VERY SIMILAR to what we already have, since the two pie menus we have now each is organized in thematic sub-menus for the most part.

This is what the menu looks like right now, partway through the re-organization. Notice how it is close to simply being a merge of 'relationship wellness' and 'family and pregnancy'.
  • The 'temporary separations' have been separated from the 'permanent separations' and each will be their own files.
  • The core files have been reviewed to make sure that they do not add anything visible or impacting to the game, except debug and settings options. They serve as a library / necessary info bank for the other parts of the mods and that should be it. I have also updated some parts of the script to be more 'up to standards'.
  • the quantity of files is going to be the same as currently except for one more for the split separations module; and what they contain is going to remain very similar also (no gameplay etc changes at this time other than the pie menu cleanup).

I will be open with you throughout the process and open to your feedback as always.

If a change happens that you don't like, do let me know, we will find compromise and make it work.

Side Note: You will probably get a TON of Patreon emails if/when I make the posts for each of the modules / add-ons. I will put [IGNORE THIS] in the title so you know it's just placeholder posts that you should not bother clicking. But I apologize for the inconvenience.

Feel free to share your thoughts and be honest, I will take it all to heart!

Sorry for the long post,
Lumpinou

The pregnancy disappeared on me just now. I had to go back to this post just so that I wouldn't freak out. I do have ww, and whoohoo wellness, I have ui cheats, kawaii stacie and little mssam mods. No other pregnancy mods but yours and wicked whims

lumpinou

Hi, What do you mean 'the pregnancy disappeared'? You mean the accepted pregnancy bug thingie just happened to you?

lumpinou

If so, can you exit (saving or not, up to you - no worries it can always be fixed by removing the accepted trait in the worst case) and remove all other mods and then reload and see if the pregnancy comes back properly and completes properly ?

kesionna

Oh and I must add. That I put 6 days of pregnancy in my game from wicked whims. And my pregnant sim wanted the baby from the jump. So accepted pregnancy wasn't the issue.

lumpinou

OK, here's an idea, put the pregnancy duration back to normal reload the lot, does it come back?

kesionna

And one more thing. My sim was pregnant up until she traveled with some friends to the geek a con. That is when I noticed she wasn't pregnant anymore.

kesionna

So traveling might have something to do with it as well.

kesionna

One more thing she is in her 3rd trimester

lumpinou

If it's not an accepted pregnancy, then it should have nothing to do with my mod - my best advice is to set the pregnancy length back to default and restart and see if it solved it. Or to take all other mods out and launch and see if that also works.

kesionna

Yes the accepted pregnancy bug just happened to me

lumpinou

That's something that would tell us if the modified pregnancy length is the cause or not

kesionna

She is still pregnant but there is no bump and it doesn't show in the box.

Jennifer Finnigan

Is anyone getting the bug where your your pregnant sim says "second trimester in 6 days" but it is set differently. I literally took out mods one at a time and then took everything out and it is still having the same thing. Both sims that are preggo in my household are long trimesters and I have it set on the default which is 3 days. Not sure what could be causing this. I have woohoo wellness, pandasam childbirth mod, MCCC and wonderful whims.

lumpinou

Never heard if that. Check that both mccc and WW agree on the pregnancy duration since they can each lengthen it but other than that I've no clue

Jennifer Finnigan

That was it... I had completely forgotten that WW had a lengthening things with pregnancy as well. Thanks!

Hello, I will say that I am having an error for over a week now. I am unsure how to fix it. I will send the last exception over on discord if you would like
