Second - new features!
We are getting back on the release train, slowly but surely as they say. As discussed before, this is the first of three thirds of module 10 of the WooHoo Wellness mod, and revolves around the new 'separated' status.
You can check the tentative module description page for more information, but I mostly advise not worrying too much about that and just playing with it.
Here's a video of one of my test runs today, as well!
Installation:
You do not need to re-download WooHoo Wellness. In fact, preferably don't if it's already up to date. (You MUST have woohoo wellness installed for this to WORK, find it here.)
HOWEVER, you will need to replace the script you already have from WHW with the one of the same name / almost same name that I am including in this post. Additionally, you will add the extra package which also come in this post.
It should look like this, minus whatever modules you don't keep.
This is different from the usual process, because this is a "small" release and part only of full module, whose other parts are still in development. To make my work faster and simplify the updating process of said partial module, I am keeping it separate from the rest of the mod currently. Once everything is done and released, this module will be integrated to the rest of the mod as always, and there will then be only one script. We are not there yet however, and I went for the quickest and most practical option.
Some useful notes about the new features:
– for half a day after entering the separated status, the Sim in question won’t be able to engage in any romantic interaction with each other. They just split up they’re not going to be lovey are they?!! After that time, they will be able to again if wanted.
– During that time period, these two sims should also be much less likely to autonomously decide to interact with each other.
– when the temporary separation is started, the Sims will lose their most positive moodlets (the happy mood for example will jump out the window) because this is a SAD time!!
– The Sims will not be able to ask each other to get back together again until they have reached about 25 points in the common ‘reconciliation’ metric.
– The result of asking to get back together depends on this metric, which is shared by both sims, but also on another metric which is individual and different between the two.
– A limitation: If a Sim he decides to go stay somewhere else, and he decides to make them return home before the separated status is removed, then you will have to remove the marker that keeps track of staying somewhere else manually, by clicking on the separated partner, going to “actions” then “woohoo wellness” then “remove relationship bit”. An interaction to do the same thing in less cheat-y way is being added.
- at the moment, you can decide to move out but do so after deciding to stay somewhere else so it all counts. Once the divorce stuff comes in I will add the options to move out permanently etc through the mod and also usable directly with separated status. For now there's the 'stay somewhere else temporarily'.
- another limitation: the sims may still greet each other with the romantic greetings.
REMEMBER, you CAN use ANY AND ALL interactions / interaction types to build reconciliation points! Romance, friendly, funny, etc! Not just the stuff from this mod :)
