This is leading into the next chapter, where they try to solve this problem.  Things probably spin out of control though.

I feel like whenever you make a comic, you realize things you should have included, or even things that people tell you they'd rather the story be about.  I feel like I missed out on explaining the months after loss of heroes when they where petrified.

I always had a plan to explain later that some of the current heroes were villains before.  I even considered that there had been some grand conspiracy to alter the minds of villains and make them heroes against their will.

During the flashback chapter where Thomas wakes up from a coma before the start of the comic, I had originally planned that during his tour with Connor he'd notice villains among the heroes and Connor would explain that a percentage of the villains defected, allowing them to keep control.  I cut it for space though, and maybe that was a mistake.
