Valheim Patron Server = ) (Patreon)

A friend (and Patron) is spending the weekend looking into setting up a GamerPoets Valheim server from his home. He has the space, upload speed and some hardware that he has to test out to see how well it works. If it doesn't hold up (i'm guessing it will) I will look into server rentals.

For those at the Mage rank and up (Mage, because I don't think 100+ people would be able to come and go on the server = ) ) if you would like access let me know. Most server rentals say "10 slots". I don't know if that means only 10 specific people can use it or if I can have any10 people at any given time. If my friend (... and Patron lol = ) )... can get his setup working we can allow everyone who wants access to come and go as long as the server isn't currently full when you try to log in. 

A lot of Patrons are already playing the game. I have also been enjoying it, so much so that I have already written the first Valheim tutorial. I can't voice it today because we have insulation in our basement being installed, which has allowed me 3 hours of sleep and loud noise that won't let me record my voice = ) I continue work on that tomorrow. All that to say that this makes a pretty solid "perk" for $10+ patrons. If my buddy can get this working (ie: I don't have to rent a server) I will lower the rank requirement to Apprentice poet, seeing that it will allow more people to be able to come and go freely without server rental restrictions.

When this happens I will set up a dedicated chat channel on GP's Discord for the game. Push to talk ( I think) since there may be a lot of people coming and going (or not). Once I figure out which route we are taking regarding the server I'll be able to refine my thoughts and give more details. The goal is to allow people to come and go even when I'm not on. Pick an island, make a base, GP Patron's sailing around the same world map. We'll see how it goes = ) I will keep you updated.
