So sad that they couldn't save the Ood. And I loved the idea here, too! It's "the devil" but really, it's just the inspiration for the devil character throughout the universe. So, in a way, it was correct: it WAS all of them...all of the devils across all the religions where it exists. So friggin cool! (BTW, This 2 parter counted as the two "greats" in my analysis of the rest of the season. But I think I've changed my mind and will call it a single master episode!)
