I'm less "with it" with Anime suggestions but I've enjoyed Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, Outlaw Star, Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day (another mini-series), Spice and Wolf.....and that's all I can think of off the top of my head. OH! And The Devil is a Part Timer is absolutely hilarious.

I’m sure it’s a tough day for you. I’m so sorry! That was really great of you to volunteer though. You’re a good guy. For movies, not sure what you have seen but the following are some suggestions: Gran Torino, Good Will Hunting, The Hunger Games, The Mist, The Green Mile, Forrest Gump, The Terminator 1 & 2, Aliens, The Abyss, True Lies, Schindler’s List.
