So Premiere Pro, the programme I use to edit, has been crashing at completely random and with seemingly no fix in sight I though it was best to give it up and try a new programme. I booted up Davinci Resolve and I genuinely think I let out an audible whine as I looked at it and thought of how long it would take me to learn it...

Think I've fixed Premiere though so hopefully I won't have to set anything back while I learn an entirely new programme...

Totally, Resolve can be overwhelming, in fact I only use it to color grade log footage coming from Premiere and AE. However if you don’t get Premiere to work, in the Edit tab of Resolve, with Ctrl+B (cut) and the inspector, which is located in the upper right corner, perhaps you have the tools needed to get the job done. Then is only a matter to export (which is the last tab, the rocket one).

I couldn't even find the window to edit the video properties. To size it down and lower the volume lol. I've managed to edit one video since "fixing" it so we'll just have to see. I imagine a few video tutorials will give me at least the basics I need to get videos out if it comes to that.

Yeah, that sounds horribly frustrating.... glad you got it up and running!
