Eeeee! Though, the pilot was never really my favorite, I'm glad you watched it - at least it shows you how far an idea can come LOL. I'm going to show as much restraint as possible and just say...keep going and keep an eye out. This is one of those shows which gradually eases you into an overarching narrative with easter eggs for the plot hidden all over the place. It's definitely a thought out story from beginning to end. (I'll point out one clue you may have missed in this one when that episode it ties into comes along. LOL) SO excited to watch this with you! - And you almost had it right. It's 5 seasons, a movie, and an epilogue season. And the episodes do get longer in the 2nd season, but then, none of the other seasons have over 50 episodes like the first one! That's actually the reason why you're seeing the episodes come in 2's in the first season, it was so the show could air in a normal timeslot on Cartoon Network. Something you may start to hear from folks is that there is really no fluff in Steven Universe, despite how some of the episodes may feel. Except. One. "Say Uncle". Don't watch it. It's horrid. LOL My opinion, obviously. (Though, it's not canon, which isn't my opinion, so you really can skip it.)
