Super unfortunate that it's being review bombed on imdb, largely by, it would seem from the demographics, deeply insecure men. But this episode was absolutely gorgeous. From the bookend scenes with Ellie and Joel where you see them slowly becoming a team to the most beautiful love story I've seen in a long time between Bill and Frank. The complaint that this was a waste of time or 100% filler just doesn't stand up to scrutiny. The story told by Bill and Frank's life together is ultimately held up as inspiration for Joel to keep going and, most of all, protecting the one most dependent on him. No matter what. Loved it!

Agree 100%. I'm still thinking about this episode now, hours later. It's annoying that it's the lowest rated episode when, for me at least, this was the best episode so far.
