This month's concept comes from Mookie Johnson, who entered this idea into the October 2023 Color Commission and came in 2nd Place by only 1 vote (26 vs 25 votes)!

Why do you see Daphne in the initial rough sketch? Because I had a major brain-fart and started drawing her instead of Velma, even though I was a fan and major watcher of the series as a kid. D'oh!

Since the image is of en existing cartoon character in parody, it was an easier draw. So, I decided to spend a little extra time actually painting a background. Of course, it had to be in the style of the old cartoon's backgrounds. ;-)

Velma in front of a growth ray, saying, “Jinkies!” as she struggles to stand with her beanbag-sized breasts. Her sweater slid up as though she had lifted it before it got stretched.
