CHANGES to my Patreon Tiers are coming! (Patreon)

I've been thinking about this for quite some time. It's been nearly 3 years since I began my Patreon page. During that time, I've kept prices the same while I made an on-going effort to increase both quantity and quality of the rewards. I have also been viewing and supporting other Patreon artists, to both learn what was being offered and at what cost.

Here is a list of some of the changes I will be making:

$1 PRICE INCREASE on most Tiers — That's less than a taco from Taco Bell; less than 2 stamped letters; less than a small fry at Mickey D's.

This price increase will allow me to better value my work and help support my efforts. 

This will apply to tiers from $2 Follower to $10 Fanatic levels. The $20 Zealot level will remain the same.

"GRANDFATHERING IN" PERIOD: The old tiers will be "unpublished" (no new members) but you will remain in them for a short time. Your auto-renewal will still get the old price and same benefits until the tier is officially retired. Lower tiers will be retired first as the months go on (Followers will be retired first in August 2022).  

You can also upgrade to the new tier before this period is over, if you really like to support me (THANK YOU!).

When your tier is going to be retired, a post and Patreon message will be made reminding you to change your tier manually. If you do not, you will no longer receive the proper benefits.

If you end your membership auto-renewal during the grandfathering-in phase, you will not be able to be grandfathered in at the old rate, and will have to choose from the new tiers when you rejoin.

A NEW TIER LEVEL will be added. A low-end, $1.75 VIEWER tier will be added. This tier is for patrons who ONLY want to view the Patreon-exclusive artwork created here (usually 6-7 images per month). Images will be low-resolution (around 1600x1100). Unlike other tiers, this tier does NOT offer entering into Commissions, Voting, grOw sneak peaks, or other bonus material that the previous lowest tier (Follower) affords.

THE new FOLLOWER TIER ($3) will gain access to medium-resolution versions of the images (previously only low resolution). (This won't apply if you stay in the "unpublished $2 Follower tier" during the grandfathering-in period. You will need to upgrade.)

The new FANATIC TIER ($11) (and the $20 Zealot tier) will gain access to more PSD files — including the Sketch and Wholesome Sketch Commissions!

STREAMLINING FINAL ART POSTS — Previously, I would post Low and High-res version posts separately, and everyone from $4 Admirer and up would get 2 notifications. Since these High-res posts also include the Low-res images, I will instead "lock" the Lower-res post to only the lower tiers. This will clean up your wall / email inbox from receiving 2 notifications. And with the new coming Tiers (see above), this would have increased to 3 posts per artwork. Instead, you will receive 1 notification and not 3. You will not miss out on anything in the "lower tier" locked posts as it will be included with your higher tier rewards.

OLD POSTS WILL RETIRE — This will help me by discouraging those who come in, pay 1 month, scrape the site clean, and leave. This both hurts you by cheapening your support, and hurts me for all the work I put into my art.

Lower Tiers will have post access retire first. Higher Tiers will have more time to view posts. The exact time for this retirement is in the works. Likely, lower tiers will have 1 or maybe 2 month access, and high tiers up to 3-5 months. This will be determined.

This will also save my costs for storing these files for download (especially for the large PSD and video files which cannot be attached to Patreon posts due to their size).
