Hey everyone!  Here I am with Red vs. Blue, season 11, eps 1 - 3!  We're back with more silliness and shenanigans, yay!!!  Watching Wash and Sarge manage their respective teams is always a treat, and I love how Wash has accepted that this silly little crew is all his now lol.  From getting them in shape to helping them with their troubles, I'd say he's doing a great job!  Sarge is deep into some remodeling plans, many of which include imaginary walls and doors....should be interesting!  I'm happy to have a little fun after a very heavy and dramatic arc!  Can't wait for what's next!
Great eps!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

Good morning, nothing to take the edge off like a little silliness, right? So the first thing is you did pick up on it: they’re shipwrecked. This is the change from the end of S10, as Church and Carolina’s dialogue implied they had set up new digs. Well… that’s not entirely untrue, but it’s not under intentional circumstances. You’re trying not to laugh during RvB. Um… there’s something a little wrong with this picture. In fact, I’d say you’re using Sarge Logic. In fact, the show’s whole intention is to poke you in an uncomfortable spot and see if your funny bone reacts. Washington is basically taking over the new Church role, and Tucker doesn’t seem too thrilled about having a personal trainer. Meanwhile, Caboose is having a staring contest with himself. Although I’m not sure you should’ve said he needed a friend… whenever Caboose gets an idea, something eventful happens. Meanwhile over at Red Base, we have put three of them in a cramped living quarters and are now watching how they socially interact each other. Sarge is building a wall and making the others pay for it (sorry, I had to), Grif is now trying to redecorate from the inside while Sarge fires at the base… and Simmons is growing radioactive lettuce. Nothing could go wrong here… right? Also… here’s another question: where’s Donut? I’d theorize about that last one, but Caboose just got loose from his leash again and I have to make sure he doesn’t accidentally kill someone. Later! 👋

So let's go down the list of Seasons that start with two teams "fighting" over a box canyon or equivalent so far. Seasons 1 and 2, Season 5, Season 6 (several canyons), Season 7, Season 9 and Season 11. I know intellectually that they do this because that's what's easiest in the medium of machinema, but in universe, this is what's comfortable for them. It was literally their job for a while, sitting in opposing bases not doing much of anything. I guess it's mostly Sarge's fault; no matter how many times he works with the Blues to achieve an objective, he can't seem to translate that to an actual alliance in his head.

2023-01-15 19:53:46 Great start to a season. I don’t think it was that many people but I think some people did not like that it went back to the more comedic formula of earlier seasons. I on the other hand love it because I feel it was necessary after how intense recent seasons had been. We needed a break after all that stuff. I love the new but similar setting. And yes I believe them being ship wrecked instead of home is the soft retcon. I enjoy Washington’s log at the start. Wash may really like the guys but that doesn’t mean he won’t get frustrated/annoyed LOL. It’s great to see the comedy come back in full force. The recent season’s were not slouching in the comedy department but there was a lot more intense stuff. I love seeing Sarge back to his ridiculousness. The “if we’re not constantly stabbing each other in the back we will surely die” line is, fantastic. I really enjoy the whole renovating red base subplot especially the radioactive cabbage. I love seeing more Wash’s interactions & dynamics with all of these guys but I think my favorite dynamic we see here is between Washington and Tucker. I think it’s interesting to see this whole training thing going on here with Tucker. Even though he hates it getting stronger can’t hurt with how often they get involved in crazy/dangerous things. The 69 joke is great because of how it was subverted but also because I am a little immature sometimes and usually giggle or say nice if that number comes up LOL. No matter how sad Caboose may make any of us here he is just unintentionally very funny. Hopefully he can be cheered up. Also you can not blame Washington for not knowing how to help him he hasn’t been with these teams for that long & was on his own for a very long time. Awesome reaction & discussion I can’t wait for next week’s reaction please keep up the great work. :-) <3

I like it. Season 10 took a toll on me emotionally so I’m having fun for now. I felt the constant “we’re in danger at anytime” feeling so I’m just going to relax and watch this season.

I can see how this would have ruffled some feathers for sure, since it's such a different tone from the last few seasons. Glad I guessed the retcon! LOL I mean it's not like they don't get a bit much sometimes haha! Agreed, there was always comedy but it's been a while since it's been the main focus! Haha yes, Sarge in all his glory! The subplot is fun so far. Yeah Wash and Tucker have a fun dynamic for sure. I know, after all we've been through it couldn't hurt to be in shape! LOL I get it, I think we all have a little junior high in us when that number pops up! I know, I just wanna be sad for him but it's always just way too entertaining! I think he's easily distracted so that's good lol. Very true, teamwork is still fairly new to Wash. Thank you so much, I'm so happy you enjoyed it and thanks for your kind words!!! :D

Lol that's a lot of fighting over a box canyon! That's kinda where they live. Yeah I think it's that "Sarge logic" that just won't let the idea of an alliance sink in!

It's a nice break for sure! Yay, I got it! LOL I mean, that is the whole point of comedy, but yet I wanna share in my Caboose's sadness....it's just so....entertaining :P Yeah he's the new Church for sure. Poor Tucker lol. Oh, it's never a dull moment with Caboose for sure! HAHAHAHAHA how could one not with the wall joke though! Yeah I see nothing wrong with all this going on with the Reds...! Where is Donut??? Oh no, making sure he doesn't shoot someone while they're brushing their teeth :P
