Hey everyone!  Here's my reaction/review of episodes 7 and 8 of V2 of RWBY!  Oh man!!!
The fun just never stops in these eps!!!  I'm not sure my brain can process the awesomeness of Jaune in a dress, a massive dance sequence, a massive fight sequence, a DOG, and a field trip!!!  JOY OVERLOAD!!!  In all seriousness though, it is not good that Cinder planted a virus....!!!  That will definitely come back to bite everyone.  So glad Jaune and Pyrrha had a nice moment and that Neptune got past his insecurity about dancing and talked to Weiss.  The huntsman our girls got as their mentor was not who I was expecting, but I think this will be a lot of fun!  Also, A DOG!!!  A DOOOOOGGGGG!!!  Such a great series
- can't wait to see more!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

Ok, important note: there are several short videos called World of Remnant that expand on the world of RWBY and help understand some key aspects in detail. There are four of them in Volume 2: Dust, Kingdoms, Grimm and Aura. You have some more in Volume 3 and the last ones in Volume 4 (including one about the Great War that Ozpin just talked about). You should definitely watch these even if you don't want to react to them, but be careful, because they were reuploaded recently and some of the thumbnails for those contain spoilers now. You may want to wait until after Volume 3 to watch them.

Oh God not the rooftop scene

Thank you so much for all the info! The good news is, I don't have to go to YouTube, because the World of Remnant eps are on Crunchyroll where I've been watching the series! I was planning on doing all the ones that they've placed inbetween the vol. 2 eps after I've finished vol. 2. Do you think that would be okay? Thanks!

yes great reaction Zwei is indeed the family dog and he is best boy also I believe team JNPR dance moves were based off of Monty Oum dance moves

The Guards around the communication room in the first episode had a so striking familiarity with enemies in XCOM 2. The armor, the weapon design. Just the color was off. So i had to look up, the game came 2 years after this, so now i am wondering if the character designers of that game watched this. :D The dance was really funny. Why do i have the feeling that Ruby but the Dog, Zwei, into her Bag, and forgot about it after the meeting? But oh well in the next scene with they meeting Mr. Coffee Rush, she has it again. Lets see if the Dog will help them if it really is inside the bag

I don't know if you're familiar with the anime Cowboy Bebop but it had a corgi named Ein, Zwei is a nod to that anime, both Ein and Zwei are corgis and their names mean one and two respectively in german. I think you missed Penny doing the robot with one of the soldiers, it was when Emerald and Mercury were giving Cinder the go-ahead to start the infiltration of the Cross Continental Tower (CCT). Edit: also, there's a video of the synchronized dance with different characters (Cinder and co., the teachers, even some Grimm) I'll see if I can find it... Ok, here it is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kxq_waxBflc

This is one of the points in the show where the workload became too much for Monty and his team. The infamous scene of Cinder jumping across the rooftops looks a little wonky because they didn't have time to quality check it; and in the fight scene with the guards here mask kept appearing and disappearing and they didn't notice in time because they had to meet their deadline. For the same reason, they had to cut back on the types and colors of dresses at the dance. I point out all of this not to nitpick or mock the show, but to point out how GOOD it still is, how dedicated they were to it, and how honest they were about their mistakes. I appreciate a creator who is willing to open up and say "Yeah, we messed up on this bit of animation because we were in a hurry."

As a student of history AND a coffee fanatic, Dr. Oobleck is my spirit animal.

Hi Justus, are you getting an error or will it just not load? It's working on my end, so maybe if you tried another browser or device it would work! Let me know if you can't get it working!

Darren

I always forget about the mask in cinders scene I know about it but I keep forgetting :) but I totally know what ya mean :)

Darren

Also they didn't find a Voice Actress in time to play Neo, so thats why she doesn't talk. I am sure thats the story behind that x

Darren

RWBY certainly pulls you In :) its a different show then most, this show grows along with ya it certainly did me x

Manny

Jaune won so many points in this ep. He was already my favorite. This skyrocketing him to an even higher place. He's just so good! And I gotta say he looks amazing in a dress. Pyrrha looked so phenomenally beautiful, but Jaune has some great legs lol. The whole thing was just a joy to watch. Im glad the dance was a success per se. And I was not expecting a dog but I'm glad cause it compensated for what happened over at Parastye. 😔 He even made our ice queen melt, so how can you not love him? 😍

Manny

Thats awesome paying homage to Ein from Bebop! I had to go back and rewatch Penny, it was so cute.

kamenriderhime

Yay!!! Thank you so much!! Awwww yes he really is Best Boi!!! That's so fun that the dance moves were based on Monty's own dance moves!!!! Thanks for the info!

kamenriderhime

Whoooaaaa!!!! I wonder if they totally copied the guards!!! :O The dance was awesome haha!! Lol, she may very well have forgotten she put Zwei in the bag, oops! I'm sure Zwei will be a big help, he seems like a very Good Boy!!! :D

kamenriderhime

Ahh yes that makes sense about the VA! The show definitely pulls you in and grows with you, that's an excellent point!!! I can't wait to see more!

kamenriderhime

Nice!!!! That's awesome!! HAHAHA okay I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thought he really rocked the dress!!!!! A joy to watch is exactly how I'd describe it. And yes, albeit there were some things going on behind the scenes, the dance itself was a success which is so nice!! HAHAHAHA yes Zwei totally made up for that ep of Parasyte right?!?!?! Even the ice queen melts at the sight of a cute pupper!!!! He may be my new favorite character lol!!!! XD

Here's a comment that got deleted from BirthdayParty!! Trivia time!!! Did you know that each of the inspirations for JNPR have cross-dressed in their stories/legends? Jeanne D'arc and Mulan are a bit obvious, but surprisingly, Achilles and Thor have also cross-dressed as female as well! Thor once needed to dress up as a girl when a giant snuck into Asgard and stole Mjolnir, his hammer. The giant would only return the hammer in exchange for the leader of the Valkyries, the goddess Freya's hand in marriage. Thor wore a bridal gown and everything in order to fool the giant so he could find out where the giant had hidden his hammer and take it back. Achilles spent a great deal of his childhood masquerading as a girl on the island of Skyros. Achilles' mother, the nymph Thetis, was determined to keep Achilles away from war, and so introduced her son as her wild amazonian daughter to the King of Skyros and asked the king to take care of her "daughter". Achilles' name while pretending to be a girl? Red-Haired. Or, in greek, Pyrrha!

kamenriderhime

BirthdayParty - I did not know that!!!!! Thor as a bride just about blows my mind, I would absolutely love to see that adapted into a Marvel Thor comic book!!!!!!!! :P WHOA, I had no idea that Pyrrha was Achilles' name when posing as a female!!!!!!! So that's her inspiration!!! Thanks so much for clearing that up!
