Hey everyone!  Here's my reaction and review of Clone Wars 1x13!  We kick off on another adventure in this one, where we have to deal with some difficult choices!  Ahsoka is learning about the Jedi policy for no attachments in this one...which is really tough, and not a policy I totally agree with, but on the other hand, leaving Anakin's side to get help may be more beneficial than staying with him!  (Oh yeah, and I totally thought the general's name was Sakura, but wiki shows me it's actually Secura lol.)  Then we meet a species of folks who are completely neutral when it comes to any kind of war or violence.  It brings up an interesting point about whether or not there could be any way around this war besides fighting in it!
Very thought-provoking and since I've already seen the second part of the arc now, I can tell you that it just gets better in part 2!  Great stuff!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

Well droids are replaceable, so firing on a ship full of droids is not that huge of a setback if you can destroy the enemy with it. Also life is not that simple to ahear to simple concepts. No attachmends, but are defenders of peace? Conflict is part of nature, so who says what jedis defend? On the other side, violence begets violence. Well its also not that simple. As you said, sometimes the other just want to wipe you out. Aayla Secura is the twilek Jedi Master, maybe we saw/see her in the movies? :D

People are always telling Ahsoka how to do things. A lot of the time it seems like one extreme or the other. Watching Ahsoka find her own path is one of my favorite parts of the series. I mean she is still really young here so she is picking things up as she goes. As for the peace/war debate, everyone usually thinks of themselves as the good guys. At the end of the day the winner says they were the good guys and they were justified. Then eventually someone else comes along and it all continues. A lot of it comes from the hero/villain mentality. People want to help in their own way, which is noble. But where do you draw the line? What if others don't want your help? A lot to think about, and to think there are people who think of this as "just a kids show."

Good point about the droids! Very true that life is too complex to have cut and dry policies like no attachments. It really isn't simple at all - there's some definite points on both side (war and passive/peace)! Have we see Secura in the movies?! :O We probably have, and I forgot lol!

That's a fair point! I can't wait to see her grow and choose her own path! I'm sure we will watch her learn and grow a lot. Exactly - I couldn't have said it better!! Everyone thinks they're the "good guy", so if you justify everything you do with that, you can go to some pretty extreme lengths for your cause. It's for sure a lot heavier than just a kids show!!!! Definitely some thought provoking stuff here!
