Hey everyone! Here it is - my reaction to the Spy x Family movie CODE: WHITE!!! This was SO fun! I love how it was a more in-depth version of the ship arc from last season, but this time we got to have Bond along as well! I felt so bad for Yor during the cheating story but glad they got it all worked out lol. Seeing Anya up to her usual mayhem was the best and of course, the comedy of errors with the way things come together for the three of them is brilliant as always! I love how they worked together! And let's not forget about the epic poop daydream :P LOL!!! Great stuff! Enjoy! ~ MH

You asked about this during the reaction, so yes, WIT Studio is indeed partially responsible for the anime - it is a joint operation with CloverWorks, who celebrated their sixth anniversary of operations at the beginning of October! He didn’t have a whole lot in this episode, so let’s give a big shout out to Yuri’s VA as his birthday happens to be today! He’s played quite a few of your characters - more of his resume can be found in this tweet: https://x.com/seiyuucorner/status/1842218418290016579?s=46&t=1yEvc8YCbWxatUYqZwkptw As for the guest VAs you asked about Type F (the bionic dude fighting Yor): that’d be Einar from Vinland Saga. Snidel, the Colonel, has two roles you’ll probably recognize - Netaro from Hunter x Hunter, and D’Arby the Elder (come on you already know what series :P). The mangaka actually took a little extra time to pen this “short story” specifically so they could specifically make a movie. Obviously we know all the characters and all the players well, so there’s not much new to analyze with their personalities. The fun part is watching how each of their stories just keep accidentally bumping into each other without trying. Loid is so sharp and composed as usual but it seems like his two girls are in his blind spot, which is ironic. Yor is so paranoid about doing everything wrong, especially when she’s worried about getting cheated on, that she’s unwittingly doing just about everything right. The whole infidelity panic arc is just like - half facepalm laughing and half hug that girl already. I’d argue the fact that Yor is that much more attractive because she’s capable but doesn’t feel that way about herself, it makes her that much more likable. Well, maybe not the compulsive drinking…. Anya is… well, Anya. She’s always doing Anya things, otherwise she would not be Anya. Btw, aggressive flirting? :P I pretty much knew you weren’t gonna like the Colonel, he’s one of those over the top bad guys, hates kids, and (gasp) takes their dessert! I had to laugh a little when you realized Twilight was the woman and not the guy at the start because it kinda sums up the entire reaction, you keep trying to guess what’s going to happen and it keeps zigging away from what you think instead of zagging towards it. I guess you could say the pursuit of a great food ended up saving the world… as for Anya’s little dreamscape sequence regarding the Poop God…. This is how most of us feel during a JoJo episode - half incredulous and half bewildered. Right? You know, I think Anya knows what she wants at this point, but the adults haven’t quite realized the scope of their feelings yet.. which makes it that much more fun. By the way… weren’t we just doing all this for a… cooking class? What’s gonna happen if we go on an actual field trip? Perhaps I shouldn’t ask that. 👀 The most recent manga volume of Spy x Family came out in August in the USA, which went up to Chapter 84. They’ve published over 100 overall at this point, and only the first 59 have been adapted. There is plenty of content to adapt available, with more on the way. Shenanigans won’t end anytime soon. WAKU WAKU! Hey, you remembered to tell Franky he was off the hook, right? PS: maybe your kid is reacting to Anya. It wouldn’t surprise me. You know what the gender is yet or to you want to be surprised? Either way, Yor’s a good mom when she’s not doing her other job. Here’s hoping S3 news drops before long!

This was so cute and special I missed Spy x Family. This is like a smorgasbord of fun episodes. I miss the fun of everything! My favorite is the poop daydream! Oh Anya. That imagination of yours! 😆 This was great. I really needed the laughs and smiles today 😊

That's good to know about the animation! OHHH that means it was Giorno's and Canute's bday too! That's so cool that this was written by the mangaka! I love that Loid is so on point with everything except when it comes to what's right under his nose with his family. I felt so bad for Yor, I just wanted to hug her lol!! Anya's great as always :) Anyone who steals desserts from kids is the worst of the worst in my book! Hahahah yeah that's a great way to describe the opening scene, it's setting the tone for the whole movie! HAHAHAHA how was there not a poop Stand?! I'm shocked that's not a thing :P Oh boy, can you imagine the mayhem of an actual field trip? I'm so glad there's more content coming soon, and here's hoping for a s3! LOL my kid was totally reacting to Anya, I wonder if that means I'll have my hands full with someone who gets into as much trouble as she does??? :P
