Hey everyone! Here it is - my tier list to wrap up Part 7! And also, my rankings to date of the different Parts and the Jojos! Hello Melissa, thank you for letting me edit this video too. I had a lot of fun again, although unfortunately there were a few delays because I wasn't completely satisfied with my first final result. That's why I had to make a few more changes, which is why it took longer than usual. Sorry again for that. But I hope that this has made the end result even better. In general, I'm very happy with your Steel Ball Run ranking. I've made a few changes to the character rankings myself, such as putting Scarlet Valentine in the Ick category because that's exactly what she is for me. She got Lucy into some very strange situations. I also found her a very unlikeable person. And I wouldn't have put Magenta Magenta in the ICK category, but in the Good Villain category. Because to me he was just a good villain that you could hate. And his fights were actually always very good. But apart from that, I also share your views. It's almost the same with the stands. I would only put Mountain Tim's stand in Epic because I really love it. But other than that, my ranking is actually exactly the same as yours. When it comes to the Jojo Parts ranking, our opinions clearly differ. I always find it difficult to put parts on the same ranking level, as I find some things better than others and I actually already have a consistent ranking of eight places overall, as I can't rank Part 9 yet because it hasn't been finished yet. Definitely the same is that Steel Ball Run is in first place for you and me. I completely agree with you that this is the best work Araki has created so far and that it is a well-deserved number 1. What I definitely don't understand is why Part 3 and Part 5 are in the same category for you. For me personally, Part 3 and Part 5 are worlds apart in terms of quality. You're definitely right that they're very similar in terms of structure and that Part 5 actually does almost everything Part 3 did better. But the Villains in GW alone are a hundred times better than in SDC. I agree with you that the final fight with Dio against Jotaro is one of the best final fights in Jojo. But Part 5 had much better Minor Villain fights and Diavolo as Main Villain was also better constructed than Dio in Part 3. Dio could only scores points because we knew him from Phantom Blood. He was hidden in his mansion most of the time and didn't actually have much to do in this part apart from the final fight. In general, I think Diavolo is a better main villain than Dio anyway. But that's just my personal opinion. I'm curious to see if you'll ever do a Villain ranking list, because I'd really look forward to that too. But of course it's normal for me to talk about Part 5 like this, because Golden Wind is my second favorite part of Jojo and I would defend it with my life. But that's why it's better that there are different opinions, because otherwise life would be boring. I wouldn't have expected Part 6 to be so far down for you either. For me personally, it's not very high up either. Because Stone Ocean took a long time to become really Peak. But the finale was fantastic. I'm also happy that Part 1 isn't in last place for me, but that Star Wars Crusaders Season 1 takes that spot. Phantom Blood really got Jojo off to a good start and will always be nostalgic. I also found your Jojo ranking interesting. I already knew roughly how you would rank them, so I wasn't surprised to see Joseph at 1. place. Joseph was ranked 1. place for me for a long time too, until Giorno took that spot and no one has knocked him off the throne yet. I don't think that will ever happen either. Johnny is definitely very close to Giorno. They almost share first place. But Part 8 Jojo is also very high up and I'm really excited to see how you'll rank him after you finish Part 8. I hope you'll make another update video after the end of Part 8, because I'd like to know what your view of Jojo is in general. I'm already looking forward to your Part 1 - 6 character tier list next week, because I think you'll explain a bit more how you feel about some of the characters in Jojo. I'm really looking forward to seeing and editing it.

I feel as though currently, Steel Ball Run is Araki's Magnum Opus. I can't speak of Part 9's quality yet(in fact, I'm just waiting until it all comes out before I read it. xD), but so far it seems like nothing really tops it in terms of quality. ...Part 4 is still my favorite though, THE ANIME WAS ROBBED OF JOSUKE CRYING ABOUT HIS EXPENSIVE SOCKS BEING DROPPED IN THE SWAMP WATER! Like we have the literal crying, but no fussing over how expensive it was. xD I feel like that's an important detail... He looks like a punk, but he actually has some RICH taste in clothing. One thing I have to say about Part 8 though... I'm sorry about Joshu. - n-;

I'm pretty happy with the rankings. I pretty much agree. I love the reasoning behind each one. I understand why I like each part more after ranking because there is no bad part, just preferences. Gyro broke many barriers. Competing with studs like Speedwagon and Bruno is hard, but he is special. He matched their impact if not exceeded it. I can see why people may say Bruno had a more protagonist vibe, but I had no problem following Giorno. Frankly, his backstory explained everything to me. I just thought it was cool getting someone with a cooler head like Jonathan at the forefront for once. It was nice. I always feel bad for putting Phantom Blood and Jonathan last for obvious reasons, yet the farther away from Part 1 we move, the more I appreciate him. He didn't ask for any of this; Dio took his body, and he'd probably still feel guilty for that, somehow like he was that good a man. Jolyne and Jonathan's tie seems perfect. One started it all, and the other ended it. We saw Jonathan marry Erina and finally live happily ever after, but not much after that. And Jolyne/Irene was living a completely happy lifestyle with no worries. Perfect. 👌

I'm glad to hear it! That's the thing, there are really no bad parts/characters/Stands etc., it's all a matter of preference! Gyro was so incredible! For real, like how do you compare them?! But yeah, it's hard to argue that the writing wasn't just absolutely peak for his story. I'm with you on Giorno! We may not have focused on him as much specifically, but all his motivations were there. Omg same, like PB and Jonathan deserve infinite respect! And yeah, it really gets better the more time you have away from it to appreciate the entire 6 parts as a whole. OMG Jonathan would totally feel guilty that it was his body that caused so much chaos :((((( I agree about Jolyne's tie-ins to Jonathan! They bookended an entire century-spanning story together! It really is a chef's kiss way to begin/end it all!!!

I agree! And yeah, I can see how it's too soon to say for Part 9! (Also not a bad idea, it's probably a much nicer/cohesive read that way!) I can totally see why Part 4 is your fave though - that's exactly how I feel! Part 7 is definitely the best all around, and I also have my emotional/in-my-heart-forever pick! OMG THE SOCKS!!! I mean he whimpered a little haha, but was he full-on crying in the manga?! I really need to read it! He's complex, he can be both a softie and a punk, that's what's so loveable about him! ^_^ The rich taste in clothing is so fun too, he's not rough and tumble like you'd expect from a "delinquent". I like to think he got his love of high fashion from his grandma, Lisa Lisa :D (Even though they never met. It could be genetic!!!) OMG I'M ALSO SORRY ABOUT JOSHU >:( I'm less than 20 chapters in and I'm already so turned off haha!!!

I tried reading Part 8 Chapter by chapter when I got into Part 8... I just couldn't do it, I kept forgetting about too much stuff in between chapter releases. 😂 Well he made a whining comment, but it's pretty much the whole: "Pucci whining about his $800 pants getting ruined" thing before Pucci did it. xD Honestly reading through the Jojo Manga is always a recommendation, since there are a few changes, and a few things the anime omits. o: Can we just get Diamond is Unbreakable 2? Can we animate the Hol Horse/Josuke story? And the other Rohan stories? Like... Are you telling me no one wants to animate an episode revolving around Rohan and Antonio? I NEED MORE OF MY OG MORIOH CREW! ...This SHOULD be the part where I tell you that Joshu might start out REALLY BAD, but gets much better as the series goes on. ...Unfortunately, what you see is what you get. 💀

Hey Leonie! Oh my gosh, please no apologies necessary!! Thank you for putting so much hard work into it! I can totally see how Scarlet would be an Ick for you haha, she definitely icked me out as well! And I think I put MM there because he killed the wolf :( Even though the wolf ended up living haha. He is a good villain though! Mountain Tim's Stand is so cool, putting it in Epic is totally justified!! I know, you're absolutely right about all the things that Part 5 did so well! There's no denying it!! I ranked with my heart and SDC just still has too big of a place in my heart! It was tough putting Part 6 so far down because I really do love it, but there are so many others that I love more! I know you know how it is!! The finale was definitely peak! Yeah it's impossible to rank PB so low right?!!? I'm glad you enjoyed my Jojo ranking, I knew Giorno was your #1!!! ^_^ And that's amazing that Johnny is so close, he's such an amazing character. I can't wait to do my rankings after Part 8, I have a feeling Part 8 Jojo will be fairly high!! Thanks for editing my tier list video for this week too!!! Can't wait to share it here!

Oof, yeah, that'd be tough! HAHAHAHA I'd totally forgotten about Pucci too, that's amazing! Aww poor baby! I couldn't agree more, my plan was to read through the whole thing and then sometime during SDC I got waylaid with starting up my SBR reviews....I do plan to go back one day once I'm caught up to current though!! They can't fit everything into the anime after all, so there's just little nuggets of unknown Jojo waiting to be discovered :D OMG YES to all of those questions!!! For real, I'll take all the extra Part 4 they wanna give me! I love Morioh so much!! If someone tries to say they don't wanna see Rohan/Tonio, they are straight up lying!!! Oof.....good to know I don't have much to look forward to with Joshu :P Araki really took all of the enemies-turned-besties in Part 4 and said "NAH, let's do the opposite" with Joshu huh??? :P

If it wasn't for My Hero Academia being made AFTER Jojolion, I would swear Araki was listening in on what everyone was saying about Mineta and thought: "Oh Mineta is not as bad as you think... I mean if he was, he'd be like THIISSSSSS." and ended up making Joshu. ...He's got a line that'll knock your socks off and question everything Araki has done leading up to this point. 😂

Joshu makes Hazamada seem downright friendly. I'd say he's more like a Cioccolata if he never developed his sadistic taste for murder. xD It's honestly pretty funny. TERRIBLE, but it's so over-the-top you can't help but laugh at it. 😂 Thankfully after this part, you'll be clear for the video games. I wiiiiiiiiiiill say that if you want an adventure with the OG cast again... Eyes of Heaven's story mode might be worth checking out. o: Or at least just the special dual attacks.

ICK, really?! Wow! Omg, I do love a good over-the-top villain!!! That's great news about the games, I'm really excited! Mr. Hime's been looking for them in game stores for me since he knows I'm close to being totally caught up soon (sans Part 9). I've seen clips of Eyes of Heaven and it looks really fun!!! Honestly I'd be totally down for a Let's Play series if anyone wanted to watch it haha!
