Hey everyone!  Here it is - my reaction to episode 47 of Kamen Rider Gotchard! Wow, I can't believe Spanner was planning on sacrificing himself!! Seeing him and Hotaro face off was probably a long time coming. It was quite the fight too! I love the way that Spanner's not exactly "bad" but just really stuck on his own version of his Gotcha lol. I really hope they end up working together in the end! So what's his plan now?! Also, to you guys who guessed about Rinne and Atropos, WAY TO GO!!!! Dang, they really pulled the trigger on it! Now I need details!!! Great ep!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

Will you believe it? Gotchard has only 3 episodes left. How thet gonna end them all? 48 - Defeat Gaeliah, 49 - Defeat Gigist, 50 - Defeat Geryon? For Atropos... I mean... for some reason, we already guessed it right since last weak. I just don't remember how.

I was thinking about that last week but forgot to talk about it, Geryon is going to absorb the power of the other kings when they're defeated anyway, so him being the final boss would make sense.

Well... At least Spanner didn't end up dying, which I feel usually happens if two allies end up coming to blows like this at this late into the series. It won't be long until the end now... ...You're not going to be ready for next year's rider, it's too cute. The gimmick holder? Cute. The main weapon gimmick? Cute. I'm certainly excited for it. o: I'm getting one of his items this weekend, so that'd be neat. ...I'd say it'd be exciting, but I don't have the Henshin Belt yet. xD BTW, they're coming out with the Daybreak version of the Gotchard Driver, as well as a book with all of Daybreak's chemies. I thhhhiiiiiiiiiiiink I'm going to get it, but only because I can display the two Gotchard Drivers with the two upgrade items I have. o: And while I did have fun just getting a chemy card box here and there to see what I got... It WOULD be nice to be able to display all the chemies. It's the Daybreak version of them, like I said, so there's no Legend Riders in there... But that's fine. o: Gotchard will have a fun little corner in my collection. I also got a box of chemy cards, from one of the last waves. Seems like Legend's Cards have a new look to them... The old legend titular rider cards had a chemy version of the rider displayed on the card, but these look like Decade's cards. Real interesting, or maybe just a way to squeeze out more money. 🤣 It also had other Riders... I got Zein, but the chemy is shredding a Zero One card. ; n; RUDE. I would think about buying this box again, but a lot of the cards were for the next year's riders. I also got the summer movie form cards, which has an interesting fun fact... But I can't talk about it since there's possible spoilers. I'll try to remember it if you watch the movie. Apologies in advance if I don't. xD

Hi Hime :) I said for this episode, that it was the way men speak, in other words, with their fist. You made a reference to Naruto vs Sasuke, but it's a trope present in so many anime and shows that we couldn't spend days listing them all. Spanner is finally honest with his friends and his feelings for once and it's freaking Hotaro who pushes him to the limit like that. I really liked this scene, because even if Spanner is conflicted, he remains straight on his motivations, goals and way of doing things. He is not won, but he accepts another point of view. Hotaro's mother doesn't seem too bothered that her son is a Kamen Rider, an alchemist and hangs out with chemies... I've said a few times that she seems to know more than she lets on and this makes me say it again lol. Well, we finally have confirmation that Atropos is based on Rinne, so there's a good chance we'll have some big revelations in the next episode and maybe a defeat of Gaelijah ? The bets are open, but having seen the preview, I can tell you that the episode will never come out fast enough for my tastes, because it could confirm certain ideas that I have had since almost the beginning of the series ^^. In short, looking forward to Sunday.

Well... Let's say that the preview guides me towards certain theories that I have, which would not necessarily be in disagreement, but I also see Gaelijah being defeated in the next round, Geryon after and Gigist being the last, especially knowing that for the moment he is being discreet.

I do have to point this out quickly - looking at your title for this reaction. Who’s Supana? (head canon: you had Italian food on the brain after Monday and decided to attach it to Spanner’s name. :P) Okay, okay, I’ll stop… it seems that Lachesis is definitely developing stronger human emotions based on her interactions with Spanner and then her panicked expressions when she went to get the others. I don’t know if I’d call this a heel turn as much as I’d tag it a very extreme solution. That being said, it does fit with his character - he’s always been a bit stubborn. It was inevitable that Hotaro and Spanner’s ideals would eventually clash with each other - one is incredibly optimistic and the other is pragmatic - their problem seems to lie in their failures to acknowledge the merits of the other. Also, self sacrifice seems to be kind of a theme on the schedule this week, doesn’t it? The whole fight seemed more like one of those brawls (but this time everyone had mech suits) that kept going until they were both tired out - both of them are more alike than you’d think if you just compare how far they’re willing to go for their motivations. I’ve never seen Evil Dead, so I have no idea what the shot you’re referring to is - also I think you were talking about Naruto characters in your comparisons, but I’ve never seen it. I’ll let that one go. The fact that Atropos is in fact a doll of Rinne is not a shock to most of us, it definitely has had bread crumbs for awhile, and it explains why the two kept getting so - infatuated with the dealings of the other despite being on opposite sides. But then, for what purpose was she created? And if Geryon is also a doll… what’s the real point behind all this? It looks like Hotaro has another friend (also add potential love interest) that has a problem. E cause it sounds like if she can’t stop this, she’s going to die and Atropos will become a loyal subordinate to Gailejah. So that’s what she did when she put that mark on her hand a couple episodes ago. Everyone’s getting someone they care about in danger, but I guess it is sweeps month for the series. Dra-MA! 😅 The preview kinda hinted at a few things so I have an idea where this might be going, but I’m gonna keep my mouth shut for now. 🤐 PS: have you decided to make a Hopper1 plushie yet? :P

Hi Spadeas! :) Yeah, pretty much! That's so true, what anime doesn't feature this at some point lol! I was glad that Spanner was honest about his feelings, and that maybe he's starting to accept other points of view besides his own. I think mom knew all along too lol!!! You were right about Atropos and Rinne! I can't wait to see where it's all going! Oooh I can't wait for the next one now!!

Oh I'm really curious about how they'll do this! The order and details in which they'll take everyone down should be interesting. Yeah, they've been building up Atropos for a while now, the whole storybook thing was a big final clue as well!

I know, at first I thought that's where they were going with this! I cannot wait for the next series, it sounds adorable!! No kidding about the Daybreak edition! That would be pretty cool to have! I bet it would look great in your collection! It's so hard to decide what to get and what to pass on. I'm having the same problem with Jojo merch!! That's so cool about the cards! I love that they look like Decade's cards!!! Haha they'll do anything to get us to buy! :P Oh that's weird about the Zein/Zero One one haha! Oooh sounds good about the movie stuff! I really hope I get to watch it at some point, I'll try to remember to remind you to tell me haha!

For the title, I copy and paste the titles from the Gotchard Wiki page, so I actually had no idea what you meant at first. :P "Supana" is a way to write out how Spanner's name is said in Japanese, not Italian, but no worries, I'm sure anyone could make that mistake. :) Playing the epic fight / self sacrifice cards this late in the series is always a good way to get us going I guess. Atropos being a doll was pretty clear after last week, but Geryon being one begs more questions about everything. Things are looking bad for Rinne for sure! You know they're gonna be upping the drama over these last three eps! I guess I should get on that Hopper plushie!

Omg you're so right! I know, in a way they kinda get each other, at least more than I'd expect from rivals. Haha I know right, that's been a theory for sooo long in the comments, so happy to see it come true!!!

I feel like it's an aesthetic you're going to love, which is why I'm more excited to see your reaction to it more than the actual episode. xD Right? For every cool item you get, there's so many that pass you by. T oT I'm already stuck basically going through the Geats Release cycle again because they're just release all the Raise Buckles as Prenium items. It's nice they're more show accurate, but still... They're really going through all the buckles again. ; n; I'm a little tempted to get another box, but I feel like half the cards they offer in it don't really interest me... That and I already have that version of Kamen Rider Legend. o: I feel like that's good enough. It's probably because Zein uses a Progress Key as well, but still... His Chemie is a paper shredder. ; x; I did like how some of the side material built up to the movie, as well as some of more... 'Filler'ish episodes of Gotchard featuring those characters? I'm real interested in seeing it, but that's going to be a long while. ; o;

I can't wait!!!! XD Lol yeah it seems that way, there's just only so many items/money/time I guess! I hear you, you've really gotta pick and choose when it comes to what you're getting next, and Legend is a good note to leave it on! Hahah paper shredder Chemy!!! Omg! That is a nice touch that they incorporated some of the b plots into the movies. Guess we'll have to wait and see!!!
