Hey everyone! The race is underway and we've got lots of shenanigans going on! Pocoloco's....Stand..??? Lol is creating some mayhem as he closes in on Gyro, and Diego is showing off those big brains of his with all this strategy! Strategy can't really stand up to Gyro's balls in the end though hahaha. I can't wait for more! Enjoy! ~ MH

Ah Steel Ball Fridays are the best. I just sit back and pop open a soda and enjoy. It’s like asmr but bizarre— just talking about balls and underhanded tactics. I wouldn’t wanna place a bet on this race. 🐎 I like hearing about the nod to his other works. It’s interesting knowing or trying to figure out how he incorporates his work within others and how they still stand as their own stories. I find stuff like that fun to know. Okay so I’m down for 30-40 min if that’ll help inch us closer to 8. Or maybe take it on a case by case basis. Like how for some (or a lot) Jojo days we had 3 episodes instead of 2 depending on the arcs or storylines. So I guess read a good enough chunk until it seems like enough to talk about and then move on until 8. That’s me. 🖐️😶🤚

I like Pocoloco and "Hey Ya!", their actually one of my favorite characters from this part, even if they don't appear much. Hey Ya! has a precognition ability. It can see different possibilities and will pick the best outcome and guide its user to that path. It's basically Pocoloco's luck and confidence personified. People always thought that Hey Ya! was the one making Pocoloco lucky, but it's actually just his own luck. As was shown in his debut chapter, he had just lost big in gambling and the fortune teller told him he was experiencing his "Tenchusatsu" or lowest point. But, that meant that since his luck couldn't get any worse, for the next two months he would have incredibly good luck... which just so happened to be when the Steel Ball Run was happening. This goes into the overall theme of Part 7-9, the flow of positive and negative energy in the universe. We see this when he was going through the forest. He got knocked off hus horse which allowed it to take a more optimal path. Now it's not like bad things never happen to him at all, like with him getting hit by the branches, but with all the other factors any bad fortune often corrects itself as a blessing in disguise. And Hey Ya!, despite its terrible stats, is actually a pretty powerful Stand, seeing as how it was naturally awakened. Thr two are a perfect fit for each other; they have this amazing ability that they're too lazy to really take advantage of. Johnny and Gyro are actually pretty lucky themselves that they never had to truly fight Hey Ya! and Pocoloco.

YAY!!!! I am so happy to hear that Manny!!!!! Just kick back and enjoy some SBR!!! ^_^ OMG for real, I don't think anyone could predict how this is gonna go lol, maybe Joseph though haha. Isn't that fun about Gorgeous Irene? I love the little homages! So glad you enjoyed the trivia! Yeah that's true, even 10 chapters isn't as much as those 3-4 ep days we used to have haha! Hmm, maybe I'll do it on a case by case basis. Honestly the next few chapters are a bit more dense again, but once we get into a "fight" things tend to move a bit faster. Thanks for the feedback!!!

That's awesome! Ohhhhh so it's precognition?! Interesting! So it's just kind of acting out his luck, but the luck is his. Ohhhhhhhh so he's having like an upswing of luck right now because of how bad it had been. That's so true, it's not like everything that happens to him is good, but there's such a strong course correction! I can really see the concept of positive/negative energy like you said. Oh so it was naturally awakened, I was wondering if we'd get arrows and such in the new universe. That's so funny, they're a good pair! Yeah it's a good thing in a way that we haven't been placed in really direct opposition of him. Thanks for the info!
