Hi friends! I've been planning a follow-up video to my original Warhammer+ review (y'know, the one that GW demonetised, hah)

I want to keep things as fair and balanced as possible, and I know that MY opinions aren't the ONLY opinions, so I'd genuinely like to know your thoughts on the platform.

Do you like the shows?

Which ones are your favourites?

Do you think it's good value for money?

What drove you to join? Models? Shows? App access? All of the above?

If you haven't joined, why not? What would convince you?

Do you think GW were right to C&D fan-animation creators?

Let me know!

Lots of love

Guy

Not joined Warhammer+ so can't comment on a lot of this. What could convince me to join would be a subscription model where I get access to all the codexes and army builders for the monthly sub. I am not that bothered by the shows, the battle reports are all over YouTube anyway, and the model on its own doesn't justify the cost.

- Do you like the shows? Some of the Battle Reports are quite interesting, like the Angels of Death themed Kill Team, and the winter themed Kill Team from a while ago with what it seemed to be custome rules to some degree (which they never made available sadly). But all of them seem so extremely staged, it seemed a lot to me they were rolling until they get results which actually met their need, instead of just naturally playing. The animations are okayish, nothing too bad here, nothing that great either. I liked Angels of Death, Interrogator, some of the Hammer and Bolter episodes. And while Exodite was quite well animated I never really liked the story here. The loremaster videos are pretty meh, if I want lore I watch Luetin09. The painting videos... yeah paywalling those feels a bit dumb. Some helped me a lot, but I watched them only because I was browsing through warhammer TV. Similar quality tutorials can be found all over youtube, and that's where I usually look for them. - Which ones are your favourites? Artefacts from Hammer and Bolter - Do you think it's good value for money? Only when selling off the exclusive mini for a good price. Then it comes down to a few € a year in total which is an ok value for the pacing they release shows which are interesting to me. - What drove you to join? Models? Shows? App access? All of the above? Mostly the shows. Not interested in the App, the White Dwarf archive, and I usually (as said above) sell the mini. - Do you think GW were right to C&D fan-animation creators? No. And I am not sure if not C&Ding them would have made their WH+ sub numbers worse. I mean, a LOT of us have access to 3D printers, and most of us still buy GW minis. At that point, I am just a subscriber because I forgot to unsubscribe and was charged for a full year again.

Super late to the party here due to work/hockey/family/etc. But answers below: Do you like the shows? From what I have seen in reviews, no. Which ones are your favourites? Don't have one. Do you think it's good value for money? Need that money for skate sharpening costs. What drove you to join? Models? Shows? App access? All of the above? Not a member. Nothing about it looked like it would be worth it, and this was after the Cursed City debacle was still simmering. If you haven't joined, why not? What would convince you? See above. Already had no faith in communication from GW regarding issues with supply or shipping, and now they were going to launch a + network? Also, they were going after all the little fans who had created dream projects on youtube. Call it copyright infringement, sure, but it pulled more people in. GW drove more than that off with their heavy-handed tactics - me included. Do you think GW were right to C&D fan-animation creators? See above. It's petty, and usually one of the signs that a company has decided its original fanbase is no longer needed and it has it sights on a new, shinier fanbase with deeper pockets (see UFC in 2006).
