Our* Plans for FIFA 21

This is an extremely important post, so I highly recommend taking 4 minutes out of your day to give this a read!
Hi everyone!
With FIFA 21 fast approaching, I wanted to let you know our plans, as well as clear up some confusion. FIFA 20 has been quite the journey but I'm really proud of what we've done with 3.0!
The first thing is, well, will FIFA 21 be moddable? You may have heard some stuff from other modders, some directly talking about me, but they don't know my plans. Let me clear some stuff up.
For FIFA 20, we relied on Frosty Toolsuite, comprised of Frosty Editor (what is used to import the files and compile into a mod) and Frosty Mod Manager (the program you use to import the mods and launch the game). However, the main creator, Galaxyman2015, left to work for EA/DICE in February. And no, this is not an effort by EA to stop modding, he applied for the role himself. Now, his friends who helped him develop the tool have continued working on it. Still, so far there has only been a little UI progress update since he left. The guys who are working on it now are certainly capable, just very busy. With FIFA 21 fast approaching, it looks like they might not have time to update it, at least for a little while.
Now, don't fear, there are other tools in the works, one being Aranaktu's new live editor, which is able to replace and duplicate legacy files for FIFA 20, hopefully that will be updated not too long after FIFA 21 release. He has also mentioned trying to get it to work with non-legacy files. Paul is also working on a tool, but there are limited details about it so far.
BUT, don't worry! We have our own plans, and they are big, in the form of a new modding tool.
For months I've been researching Frostbite, and it's components. Finally, we can reveal to you... we have started working with an online friend of ours (who is an extremely experienced programmer) on a new tool that should be able to mod FIFA 21.
Our friend has done 5 days of work so far and there is great progress! He has been able to read the two file formats FIFA uses, extract any texture from the game, and created a basic UI (user interface) data explorer (no functionality yet, so it can't import or view files).
Of course, this tool (editor and the mod launcher) will be 100% free and available for anyone to use (after a brief testing period), with proper documentation built-in! Since it's a FIFA-only editor, there are plans for mind-blowing features, some of which were in the old Creation Master! FIFA 21 will of course be different to 20 (we don't have confirmation of how different until the game releases), so modding won't be instant, it could be a couple of months after the release of the game (although I think it will be less), but until then we will hopefully have Aranaktu's Live Editor, which can certainly hold it's weight.
Here is a picture (UI is experimental and will look completely different in the final version).
You can find more information about the tool on: https://fifaeditortool.com/ . Also follow the project on Twitter for other updates and more, @FIFAEditorTool
Anyways, let me show you what mods I plan to create for FIFA 21, when/if modding is possible.
Realism Mod = The 1st priority, 100%. From when a modding tool is released, I should be able to get a 1.0 out, with just the core realism mod and some basic graphics (like licenses for Roma and Juventus) within 3 days. Then over time I'll add more and more, and hopefully within 3 months, I can put together something similar to 3.0 of FIFA 20. In fact, it will only be better, since I will be redesigning a lot of it, and fixing the errors I made!
2006/2007 Mod = If you don't know, this mod was originally planned for FIFA 20, which would replicate the 2006/2007 season in career mode, with all the players, kits, faces, teams, rules, etc. Sadly, because of the amount of time the Realism Mod has taken, I've pushed this back onto FIFA 21. Pretty much everything can be ported over so it's not that much of a pain. I'll probably start working on it 3-4 months after the game is moddable.
Other mods = I plan on creating various other mods throughout the year, such as "crazy mods" like huge nets, tiny pitches, free roam, etc, as well as more practical mods that "add" new leagues, teams, players, etc. I will reveal more information on this topic soon!
Finally, what are my plans for the rest of FIFA 20? Well, I'm working hard on 3.1, which is a huge version, I could call it 4.0 if I wanted. There will be a features reveal video soon on it. Anyways, that should be released in ~1.5 weeks, sometime early September, after that, I'll probably take a bit of a break with school starting and release a final version, 3.2, with some bug fixes.
So I'll leave you with this: I will do everything in my power to make FIFA 21 moddable. If that means (it probably will) investing everything I've made from patreon, sobeit!
If you have any questions, leave them below and I'd be happy to answer!
