The story is an intersection of various genres: technothriller, political thriller, character drama, but there is a science fiction aspect to the whole thing, naturally.

Spoiler on the first part of this: I don't know if this was a good or terrible idea. I don't write linearly, and I had this bracketed section with "breaching the facility" in it. And I kept writing other parts and not it. I realized it was because I didn't want to, and when I asked myself why that was, I realized it was because I knew that, on the one hand, people expected it, but on the other, it would never hold a candle to what anyone else had done. Hell, anyone that ever played a first person shooter has likely done it, no matter what angle I took, it seemed like it was just going to be uninspired and predictable. So that's when I decided to throw out the rulebook and present the first person shooter as survival horror instead, just from the point of view of those on the other side. After all, being hunted by a team of Navy SEALs and being hunted by a serial killer probably feels the same.

Is there an order to the Eternal Flame posts, should I just start from the beginning?

Good question! You could listen from the beginning, but the first one is kind of a standalone and could be skipped if you wished to. The second is mostly some adventure with a little world-building. The three after that tie together a bit more with the two main characters.
