Have to say. I'm a bit disappointed that my big Zero Day visual novel pitch garnered exactly one positive response. (Thanks Rickochet, your comments are always much appreciated)

In the meantime, I've dummied up a more visual example of what I have in mind. I did one background, and one piece of character art, and stuck them both into renpy with a bit of code to make them work together.

I tried out a new shading technique on the figure, trying to up my game a bit. It's not quite Twistedscarlett quality, but it's a step up from my usual flat toon shading.

And something important for you all to remember: I'm working in a vacuum out here. Without any response from you folks at all, it's really hard for me to judge if what I'm doing is worth the effort. Doing an entire VN would require time and effort, and lots of both, so if this is a thing that you want, make some noise.

That goes double for you folks in the expensive seats.

I've attached the isolated character image and background art to this posting.

Bit surprised the pitch got so little response but I stand by what I said in the previous post. Whether you go forward full steam or not, I think it’s a pretty neat story and idea to put on the table and keep around. Pretty much a spot on image of what I envisioned in my head. Love that extra polish, the background is quality stuff and Cobalt in the freshest Boink fashion is always a win. As long as the project you do go forward with is something you’re passionate about, it’ll come out good and that’s the kind of stuff I want to see, whatever form it takes.
