Hello all. I know that I said I was taking December off, but I had one last piece that I still owed, to netreek. From october. Luckily, it was a request for something Christmas themed, so the delay ended up being timely.

Even with that though, I was pretty much stuck for an idea. With all the stress of the past year, the part of my brain that does all the creative thinking was burned out. So I took most of December to try and get it working again, mostly without success.

And then, the day after Christmas, an idea walked up, dropped into my lap and said "draw me."

This year, one of the things I got were these little chocolate teddy bears in gold foil made by the Lindt candy company. And in the process of unwrapping one, the image of it sitting there, half unwrapped sent a spark across the carbon-scorched gap where my creativity usually sits.

My muse had spoken, and I figured I should probably pay attention.

So, after a quick consultation with netreek about changing his request idea a bit and going my own way with it, that's what i did.

And here it is.

And since this is the Christmas piece, I'm posting the full res attachment for everybody.

Enjoy.
