Hello everyone and welcome to a new sneak peek of Lucky Paradox

Work on the update continues steadily, although it is taking a little longer than I had planned.

So far, the renders needed for the tournament arc are almost finished, and it has been much more complicated and time-consuming than I had projected at the beginning. This is because this part of the story is the longest part of Lucky Paradox so far, and it has also required a lot of extra backgrounds and involves the participation of quite a few characters and considering the amount of post-production for some sequences of the story (x.x).

I must admit that a few days ago I was considering the option of cutting a part of the update, but I have preferred to concentrate on postponing the update a bit and include everything planned. Although the number of renders so far has already far exceeded the amount I have been doing for each previous update.

As a concept, the tournament arc should include a lot of smaller events, set shortly after meeting Cassandra (AND "defeating” Kaede and Shizuka), so it serves as a bridge to unlock Yui's next part of her story, and that means it's even harder to cut some of the content without hurting the story.

Also, during the tournament we'll spend more time with Cassie (With whom there are few interactions so far), and who will be a key character during this part of the story.

However, so far, I'm quite satisfied with the results achieved and it's turning out better than I had planned :D

The new potion system has also required more time than necessary too, since it must have a solid base to build more content in the future.

The two scenes that will be included thanks to the potions (one with Yui and the other with Shizuka and Kaede), are also quite extensive for what the game has included so far, and that also translates into more renders and postproduction.

A small detail I've been experimenting with, is to improve the quality, lighting, reflections and definition of some textures in the game (specifically for skin and chests), to make them look better than before. Although it may be a detail that could go unnoticed among some players, I think that those who like to contemplate things more in detail will appreciate it.

It is a graphical improvement that I would like to continue working on from now on, and although they do not have a very different change with the last scenes, I would like to implement in some older scenes.

And that concludes this week's progress summary.

I know that those of you who follow the story of Yui and the Dragons will enjoy this update, the new characters and getting to know more about Cassie.

As always, I send you a hug from afar and I wish you have a beautiful week <3
