Hello everyone and welcome to a new sneak peek of Lucky Paradox!

It has been an extremely hard and exhausting week, with 14-hour workdays, a lot to do and dozens of small details to fix.

If I must be honest, I'm depressed that I wasn't able to finish the Halloween update during the month of October, I liked the idea of it being a thematic update, but I didn't feel safe releasing an update with cut content and too many bugs due to the lack of testing. I wanted to have a big update ready with a lot of things to enjoy, as well as adding story content and a few extras.

In terms of amount of content, it is the biggest update of all that make up the 0.7 version, which has also required more renders and art than usual, plus variations and aesthetic changes in the characters.

But what progress has been made during this week?

More than 450 renders have been finished, which are necessary for the new events that will arrive in this update.

Nearly 80 images have been added, distributed among interface elements, costume variations and environments.

Two new original music themes have also been finalized and will be part of the soundtrack, which in total will be 3 new music themes.

And finally, a lot of work in the code, since it is necessary to finalize some functions of the calendar system to ensure that the special events work smoothly.

If I need to explain it, the special events are conditioned to the time of the year (within the game), the player's progress and the progress with the characters, it has been necessary a lot of testing time to make sure that this new feature does not hinder the gameplay. It would be a torture to be in a specific place, on a specific day of the week at a specific time to "activate" content, so I want this process to be automatic and "flow" naturally with what the player is doing. Getting this right is harder than you think. Plus a list of hints to know what content is available and how to progress.

On Sunday (Halloween Day), I decided to take a break because with so many hours of work I was feeling burnt out, this was the only day I took off during the whole month, so it helped me to recover a lot of sleep hahaha

Although the month of October is already over, my focus is to have a quality update ready very soon. It's a pity that the Halloween content will be a bit out of sync with the actual date, but I already have a better idea of how to approach the Christmas update, as well as being less ambitious in the amount of content.

I will send the download links to everyone who donated during the month of October, as I think it's only fair. The Alpha version (Alter or Superior) and the Final version (as appropriate) will be available a few days later to make sure I catch as many bugs as possible.

I've had some thoughts about the development of Lucky Paradox. While I think it's impressive what you do for it whenever you're off the clock, it takes its toll every now and then and can be time-consuming. Have you ever thought about getting some assistance? If you have any friends who know a thing or two about coding or 3D modeling for example, maybe you could ask if they could aid you in developing LP. I think the project could benefit from extra manpower, but you can keep things as is if you don't feel comfortable doing that. Just throwing this out there.

Don't worry about delays, you are doing a gigantic and good job. 14 hours a day is really a lot, you should have a good rest - we don't want your CPU overheating. greetings for far away sides from the middle of nowhere
