Hey everyone!

In the last few days, I've been kicking around an idea in my head, and it's about the release of the updates. My intention is to have an update every month, so apart from creating the corresponding post, I've decided to send the update via Message through Patreon, so that, if you haven't been able to continue the donation the following month, you won't lose the opportunity to play the new content. In this case (August) if the update is released in September and you are unable to continue the donation during September, you will still receive the update.

A bit of context:

Thanks to what happened with the current update (file corruption), I have lost a few days of work. At first, I was planning to work longer hours, so I could make up for lost time, but after 10 days of following a pretty demanding pace and sleeping 4 hours every day, I'm starting to feel pretty burnt out. This has affected my mental health quite a bit and if I continue at this pace, it could affect the quality of the game.

On the other hand, I understand that Patreon is a platform that allows you to support a content creator, and it's not the same as buying something. However, for me as a developer, I feel that I am indebted to all of you who actively support the development of the game and therefore, I must release content constantly and as quickly as possible.

Sometimes, some updates require much more time and work than others, or sometimes something may happen that causes a small delay. And the development of Lucky Paradox has been a very demanding process in many aspects, sometimes I have worked for a month without being able to take a day off, in order to reach the date I set as a deadline. But what really worries me the most is to lower the quality of the game, since my intention is to make a game that improves and not the opposite.

Thinking carefully about some solutions for this, I have come to the idea presented at the beginning of this post. This way, I will be able to take some pressure off myself and give more value to your donation money. Still, my intention is to have the update before the end of each month, but I will also make sure to send the links by private message, because at the beginning of the following month, you lose access to the post if you do not renew your donation.

If the Alpha of the next update is delayed until September, the "Alter" and "Nova" will be able to receive the Lucky Paradox August update even if they no longer have their donation active.

As always, I will listen to your suggestions and opinions <3

For now, I just need to rest for a day, so I can get some sleep and come back with more energy.

Thank you very much to all

Don’t worry. Your mental health is important and appreciate the amount of dedication you put into the game. It sounds good to me and thanks for being awesome <3

Don't fall to the dreaded burnout. Take regular breaks. Work on some hobbies. Then come back to the project.

You absolutely need to maintain your personal wellbeing first. Even from a purely selfish standpoint, if you're not doing well, your work will suffer. Get rest, work reasonable hours, take days off!

Rocksalt

Like I said in my private message, take a break if you feel you need one. While I respect your dedication to Lucky Paradox, that self-imposed crunch and 4-hour sleep cycle can't be healthy.

While it was nice to receive the updates at whatever pace it came at (i always forget). Your health first dude, always. Take a break if you need one, we will all be here after to support you to the finish :)

Your health is absolutely, 100%, first. We are all here supporting you!

Don't worry, take care of yourself first and foremost, even more so now since you've already solved the problem. We're here to support YOU and the project!

Quantum Rooster

Dependable schedules are great, but not particularly human. The care of yourself. I would be fine with more natural cycles, some sooner and some later, as it fits your work, life and inspiration.

The game is one of the greatest I've played so far, but it does not require you to lose your health over it. We are not in any kind of industry where you owe results to greedy overlord that does not know shit about software development: If an update requires more time, it takes more time. Now take care and take some day off è_é

like what others had said don't worry, your Health is what is important we will continue to support you and if there is an delay there is an delay. And if it helps I keep on making FanArt to help cope with any delay until the next release is out ;)
