Ruined Fortress (Patreon)

Hello everyone! For the 1st map of July here is Ruined Fortress. This was one of those maps where I spent a lot of time figuring out what to do, the initial plan didn't even include ruins, but when I landed on this final idea I knew I wanted to have a variation of a "bandit camp" on top of the fortress, so I did that!

Recently I've been taking some time to practice other art subjects such as characters and landscapes/environment art, it has been great seeing the improvement, though sometimes it is hard when a piece really disappoints me, I'm having to constantly remind myself to be patient, and that it is better to fail then not try at all! But I hope to use this new knowledge here in the future in some way, perhaps coming back with thematic characters for maps or something like that, but right now I'm separating it from work so I feel more comfortable to fail. In any case, of course more experience in drawing anything always translates into drawing everything else better as well, so I also hope that it will eventually reflect on better maps too, no promises! Haha. - Anyways, thank you so much for your support as always! I hope you like this map! :)
