 I feel like stupid misunderstandings are usually really bad as motivators to get stories going, but mostly because they're rarely handled well. Usually in a sitcom you end up with characters who could easily solve whatever problem they find themselves involved in if they actually talked like real human beings for an entire sentence. That's partly why I chose to call the RPG they play in the comic "Witches & Wizards", since I feel like it would be much harder to have the characters not mention the name of the game and still have Anastasia think that they're actual witches. I think it helps that Anastasia already has kind of a grandiose way of talking where she's prone to metaphors and overcomplicating her speech. I hope that the next couple pages actually sound like real, human conversations... or at least as much as we could  hope for from a weird fetish comic.
