Initially this public spanking thing was supposed to be just a quick one or two page affair to show the girls being humiliated, but Shotred had the idea to expand it into a much longer scene, and to introduce important plot elements throughout that will come into play later on in the story. It does mean that it will be a little while before the girls get lost in the woods, as the cover shows, but I feel like it's also a sign that the story isn't going to be rushed or skip important details.
