I've started a Subscribestar account as an alternative to Patreon. I'm not leaving Patreon or anything, but this will be a simpler alternative with less restrictions

Know it's probably a hassle but to echo Shotred's words it's definitely the smart choice to already have a transition location and plan in place. Patreon is quickly showing less and less courtesy and leniency to "NSFW creators". So now if patreon just ups and shuts you down with little to no warning we at least know where to seek you out at.

Is there not an option for using PayPal on there? Is it ONLY through direct use of a card?

you could get a paypal card it uses your paypal balance but acts like a mastercard basically away to get through places that dont use paypal
